Dear Jeremy. The smeltery doubles the ore you put in, for example if you put one iron ore in a furnace it becomes one iron ingot, but with this it becomes two, which is very helpful. To get it out you use a smeltery drain with a seared faucet on it in the smeltery and put a casting table under it with an ingot cast in it. To make the ingot cast you need to already have an ingot and molten gold in the smeltery. Right click the ingot into the casting table and right click the seared faucet to dump the gold onto the ingot, it will destroy the ingot, but let you pour the molten metal into it to get double the materials out. p.s. you can make more seared bricks and put them on top of the others to make the smeltery bigger and hold more ore. Have a nice day.
@Mike Cowles it's a good thing that they're playing a slightly older version then, because they clearly got 8 copper from 4 ore. Unless Ryan actually bothers to update their modpacks.
Nytheris My first thought was that since it took me goddamned hours to figure out smelters at their most basic level in creative, meaning that it'll take about ten years for them to figure them out in this.

Tips for Lil J: The smelter is a way to turn the ore (pieces) you have into full ore if you have enough for a single ingot, but that is more for creating custom tools, not just smelting. Also, you can 'fuse' metals in there, so if you put 3 Aluminum ingots and 1 Copper ingot into the smelter interface, you will get 4 Aluminum Brass ingots. So be careful with the iron, because it can combine with some other metals, so empty the other metals you have in there before you put something else in. Tips for Geoff: Hit F7 (or one of the Function Buttons), you get an overlay of X's that show where you need light the most, the tiny torches don't work as well as the regular torches (Red X's shows low light, Green shows enough, Yellow shows you need a bit more). You may not be in the right biome to spawn animals, I think you are trying to spawn them in a river biome, which only aquatic mobs will spawn. But as you go further out, you will see greener grass as that is a plains biome. Tips for Michael: Craft fans and levers as soon as you are able to generate a surplus of iron, the fans will push the monsters that spawn in the dark room to a central location so you can kill them easier, and craft wooden spikes, they will cause damage to monsters and animals, they will get brought down to I believe 1-2 hearts. Tips for Gavin: Stop suffocating in the damn trees. Tips for Ryan: Put regular sieves in a 3x3 square, and have more than one gravel, sand, dirt, or dust in your hot bar and right click with the item and profit. This does work with larger amounts of sieves, largest I've done is 6x6. Enjoy.

Kieran I completely understand how you feel it annoys me too a bit. But the reason they space them out or not finish a series is because they pretty much wait for the previous episode to get a certain amount of views and likes. So that they aren't wasting there time trying it keep a series alive that no one is watching.

When do you think they'll realize a Builder's Wand lets you place a bunch of blocks at once while you're holding it? Also, a smeltery DOUBLES any ore smelted inside it.
As soon as I hear Geoff excited to make a farm, I feel so much joy. The beginning of one of the most beautiful and wholesome things to ever happen on this channel. Geoff farm
Dear Ryan. I know you will never read this but if you do I want to tell you something. If you make it far enough in this mod pack you can automate everything. You can make thousands of dirt in seconds and I personally have almost 60 million cobblestone from doing nothing. If you continue I believe that you can make it there. Have a nice day.
but then isn't it almost like playing creative again? What is the fun in that, other than saying your earned it ofc - that is a big bonus, just don't see the fun in automating everything
+Morisith The point of automation is to make it faster for the next tier. When they get into the iron age they should be able to automate everything from the stone age and prior. It takes a fair amount to get to the next age, automation just makes it a bit easier.
Dear editors i freaking love the camera movements when there is a googly zombie or when Gavin sneezes. it is the best thing ever. please make more stuff like that.
I feel as though when Jeremy eventually realizes that he could have made an infinite water source he'll question why they're even attempting this when they can't even remember the stuff that's been there since they started playing... And yet we would have nothing better
And that the reason the achievement book specifies 25 blocks away is because you need to be a certain distance away for stuff to start spawning. Geoff constantly going over to see why things aren't spawning is why they aren't spawning.
remember all the times you learned these things for the 1st time yourself? thats kinda the draw with this series, it reminds me of the discovery aspect of minecraft rather than the efficiency
If you guys make a 2x2 trough and put 2 water source blocks in like opposite ends of it diagonally (if that doesn't help if you know how a coordinate graph in math works it's like quadrants 1 and 3 or 2 and 4) it'll make an infinite water source if you pick up the water with a bucket not Where you placed the source black so that'll be helpful, also if I'm not mistaken you can do the 2x2 dirt thing and plant 4 oak saplings to make a big tree, and if not then the other saplings will work as well. And one last thing. Geoff, the reason why platforms have to be 25 blocks away is because animals won't spawn unless they're 25 blocks away from a player, so sitting there watching the grass won't make them spawn cause your too close. Think of it like the mob spawner, when you were not near it mobs spawned. So just stay on the center island and be patient
I don't usually comment, but seeing as Tinkers Construct is really starting to move forward with that smeltery... Some tips for you guys because this series is great and I've experience with Smelteries! ...Even if it is unlikely you guys'll see this... Firstly. Any block of the Smeltery can be broken without losing the contents of the Smeltery except the Smeltery Controller. If the Smeltery Controller is broken you will lose the contents of your Smeltery and there is no way to retrieve it. This can actually be useful if you have nuggets worth of metal in the smeltery but not enough for ingots or blocks. The Smeltery cannot be used if any piece of it is missing. You can make use of this by removing the Seared Tank and filling it with lava before returning it - you can take it to the Nether for instance and fill it quickly from the lava pools there and then pick it back up and return it - the Seared Tank retains any lava if it's broken and replaced. The Smeltery doubles any ore you put into it. You put 4 copper ore chunks in and got 8 ingots worth of molten copper out. This applies to any ore you put in it as long as it plays nice with the Tinkers mod, even vanilla ores if you had access to them. However, dumping ingots in will not double your ingots, it will just liquefy them (Which can be useful at times). Naturally this is more efficient than a normal furnace, as you can smelt at maximum eight things at once (currently, see below), and you double any ore you put in. Increasing the height of the smeltery (adding another layer of seared bricks to the wall) will increase the amount of ore you can smelt at once and how much liquid metal/blood it can hold. This does _not_ increase the x2 multiplier on how much metal you get per ore. Jeremy will undoubtedly find this out during the next video if he follows the book he's been reading, but you need a three block system to get the liquid metal out - a Smeltery Drain, a Seared Faucet, and a Casting Table/Basin (either work, a basin is probably better to start with, but ideally you'll want both set up with their own faucet and drain associated with them). Smeltery Drains act as walls to the smeltery, and can replace a Seared Brick Block on any level. I recommend you add two Drains to the second level of the Smeltery (sorry Jeremy, you have to make more Seared Bricks to finish that level, they won't work unless it's complete). Attaching a Seared Faucet to the hole on the side of the Drain block will give the liquid metal a way out when you right click the faucet. Putting a Casting Basin underneath the faucet and right-clicking the faucet will pour the metal into it and turn it into a block if you have nine ingots worth of it in the smeltery. If you pour before you have nine, the block will be incomplete, and will sit molten and useless in the basin until you get another ingot's worth of metal in the smeltery, which can then be poured out to top off the basin. If nine molten ingots are poured in (it stops pouring at nine), the texture of the block should change after a few seconds. Once the texture changes, right-clicking the basin will retrieve the block from it. Right clicking an empty basin _with_ a block in your hand will put the block in the basin. Certain items can only be made by pouring molten metal over an already existing block in the basin. (I think certain types of glass are made this way but I haven't messed with it much). Metals in the Smeltery can alloy with one another - Bronze, for instance, can be made by mixing 1 Tin and 3 Copper ingots - it makes 4 Bronze. (Or 1 and 3 ore, resulting in 8 ingots of Bronze). Your ultimate goal in Manyullyn (Rhymes with Mandolin). It's the best alloy in the mod with the highest durability, and is made from Cobalt and Ardite - both of which are naturally occurring modded ores from the Nether - one ingot/block of each gets you one ingot/block of Manyullyn. Aluminum Brass will be your most wanted alloy early on. It is made from 3 Aluminum and 1 Copper, resulting in 4 ingots of Brass (or 3 and 1 ore for 8 ingots). This is when the Casting Table comes into play. If you place a part of a Tinkers Construct weapon or tool made of stone (axe head, sword blade, arrowhead, tool rod, etc. except bowstring or fletching) on the Casting Table by right clicking on the table with it in your hand, you can poor Aluminum Brass over the item and get a Cast of that item made from Aluminum Brass - Gold can also be used for this, but Gold is understandably less ideal because it's far less common. Any Ingot can also be placed on the table and cast in brass to produce a generic Ingot Cast, which will let you get any metal out of the Smeltery in Ingot Form if you don't want blocks of it or have fewer than 9 ingots worth of molten metal. When a Cast is placed on the Casting Table, you can poor any metal into the cast and produce that same item made of that particular metal - so using what you have, you could make Copper sword blades if you had a Blade Cast, or Copper Ingots with an Ingot Cast. The Smeltery and casts are required to make these metal parts where softer materials, such as wood, stone, and flint, can be turned into parts using patterns on the Part Builder table you built earlier. Smeltery-made parts are generally better than those built at a Part Builder, as they have higher damage output and much greater durability. Part Builder parts are usually easier to repair, as their materials are more common, and certain parts, such as bowstring or fletching, can only be made at a Part Builder. Certain types of material that can be made into tools and have benefits to using them over metal, such as Slime Crystals, Paper, and Plastic, can also be made into parts at the Part Builder but can't be used in the Smeltery. Hope you guys (read: Jeremy the Smeltery Guy) can make use of these tips and use the Smeltery better than most other people I've seen try and use it.
Dear Ryan. I am not sure if they are in your mod, but if they are look into thermal expansion, auto sieves, and big or extreme reactors to power those machines. p.s. If you play really long you might be able to do some draconic evolution stuff, where you basically become a god. Have a nice day.
Geoff standing in the animal pen demanding to know why animals won't spawn is the equivalent of a little kid standing in a garden wanting to know why the flowers aren't grown yet. It's too adorable.

For the mob farm, build it way up in the air with little streams leading to the entry point so the monsters will get caught by the water and fall to their deaths. At the bottom of the farm, have a hopper to collect all the loot. Also a builder's wand is super useful for building things. If you hold the builder's wand in your hand and you're making a platform the builder's wand will automatically put down whatever block the grid is touching (you'll see it when you hold it).
I'm rewatching this for the upteenth time but I always have hated that jermy just didn't make a 2x2 water source from the get go once he had/used a bucket.

When do you think they'll realize a Builder's Wand lets you place a bunch of blocks at once while you're holding it? Also, a smeltery DOUBLES any ore smelted inside it.
Throw one ore chunk inside, you get 2 ingots instead of 1.
The builder's wand was a renamed stick by the way
As soon as I hear Geoff excited to make a farm, I feel so much joy. The beginning of one of the most beautiful and wholesome things to ever happen on this channel. Geoff farm
The people enemies and weirdly skinned enemies are notable Minecraft players.
And Michael killed Crainer ;-;
Re-watching this series because it’s one of my favorites that they did. And I just remembered about Geoffs chickens. Can’t wait to get to that.
Yeah I did it with 5 less redstone
+Morisith
The point of automation is to make it faster for the next tier. When they get into the iron age they should be able to automate everything from the stone age and prior. It takes a fair amount to get to the next age, automation just makes it a bit easier.
what mod are they using for the automated cobblestone generator?
also, "liquid dirt" is mud, but that's mostly just a missive for the folks making Tinker's Construct.

I love rewatching this it's amazing how far they came from when they started
"Aw it's a SPGWGOGWEEE!" - Gavin, 2017
when did he say that pls link the time
About 7:35
Tree Lobster I definitely heard spurs
Let's go Manchester United
CHELSEA FTW
gavin noticing jack’s absence for every sky factory episode that he’s not in is really sweet, almost shows he misses jack when he’s not around
Jeremy singing the As told by Ginger theme, that made my day ;D
It’s nice coming back to watch these old vids and see where all the current areas started from.
"Will the animals grow if I'm watching?" -Geoff
Dear editors i freaking love the camera movements when there is a googly zombie or when Gavin sneezes. it is the best thing ever. please make more stuff like that.
Odd, Lindsey went into labor the night they were recording this
the day simple farmer Geoff was created
I feel as though when Jeremy eventually realizes that he could have made an infinite water source he'll question why they're even attempting this when they can't even remember the stuff that's been there since they started playing...
And yet we would have nothing better
The fans should probably tell them to make an infinite water source with 2 water buckets in a 2x2 area though
And working builders wands to put down more material faster when they have to smash it with a hammer
I hope they revisit this series more regularly. I absolutely adore this modpack and watching them fumble about with it makes my day.
Been waiting so long for this.
Whoever edits these let's plays, deserves a raise. Sometimes the editing is the funniest part of the video.
Possibly my favourite series, so much so that I don't even mind the long waits for it
I forgot Jeremy and Gavin's blood journey began here!
When Gavin suffocated in the tree it sounded like he was actually suffocating in a tree in real life XD
37:08; Even as a thoroughly British person, Gavin sounded particularly English here.
I could stab ‘em in the ‘ead
Dear Ryan.
I am not sure if they are in your mod, but if they are look into thermal expansion, auto sieves, and big or extreme reactors to power those machines.
p.s. If you play really long you might be able to do some draconic evolution stuff, where you basically become a god.
Have a nice day.
Also I forgot about magical crops. That seems like a Geoff and Jack thing though.
Sean O'Connor 100% they will
Ryan shouting "Look out, we're being invaded!" is by far still my favourite line from this series.
I would love to see them keep doing this but also do a lucky blocks race
Geoff standing in the animal pen demanding to know why animals won't spawn is the equivalent of a little kid standing in a garden wanting to know why the flowers aren't grown yet. It's too adorable.
Why don't you guys make a 4x4 thing for infinite water
seamus murphy lol they are not smart enough for that
Don't be silly, that would be too easy!
well 2x2
seamus murphy how do people confuse 2x2 with 4x4?
Or 1 x 3. Way easier
They don't usually go more than 3 parts but im extraordinarily happy they are uploading more sky factory
"Am I older than you yet, when you met me?"
This may be my new favorite Gavin-ism™.
Either that, or *_"Oooi,_** it's a **_spaz,_** gi-gi-gi **_guuu...!"_*
21:50 had me dying "falling off the rope, fuckin', jizzin', fallin', dying fuck" 😂💀
Geoff falling off the rope had me rolling. Great video guys, well done.
Is this the first 'part 4'? revolutionary.
Galacticraft
YungChurro ah dang, you right.
elzizo01 haha, that's the free to play dream. The lobster is now a strange kind of symbol.
Jeremy at the end constantly adding one block to his smelter and then looking if something happpens is adorable
I love how appreciative Gavin was of his gift
I'm rewatching this for the upteenth time but I always have hated that jermy just didn't make a 2x2 water source from the get go once he had/used a bucket.
I almost choked on my drink when Gavin went star gazing. Also, AH being Gods? I knew it.
It’s September 25, 2024 and Gavin and Meg got married the other day! 🥲
Nobody talking about Geoff and the "Crustaceous period" at 6:19 😂😂😂😂😂
gavin, "all my stars are splittting am i on acid?" yeah seems accurate
Just got back from London after all the horrible things that are happening there tonight. I needed something to cheer me up and show me the world is full of better things. Albeit only being a minecraft video, you idiots were my saving grace tonight. Thanks so much.
"How do you twerk again?" - Geoff Ramsey, 2017
This series has gone on long enough and started so long ago, that I can restart the series from the beginning and still enjoy it. Really happy this series has continued and the gang is enjoying playing Minecraft again. Sadly, I recognize that eventually they will slowly get tired of it and decide to end it. But, at least now AH sees the potential with these PC Minecraft mods!
21:46-22:58 is the hardest ive ever laughed during a minecraft lets play
i like how they always hump the saplings close enough that it hurts them when they grow. like they sacrfice a bit of their life force to them
6:38 and now they are married !!
Aww, that's actually a super sweet gift from Michael. I think Iris was a slightly better gift though. ^ ^
lol favourite quote "uhh, that's not mine officer, I was just holding it" -Michael.
29:20
Here I was thinking y'all had stopped making this series! So happy to see it's back!
