  • From Elphaba to Maria, Laura Pick has played some of theatre's most iconic lead roles. Having trained at Mountview, the triple-threat rose from stand-by in the West End production of Wicked to defying gravity, a role she still fly's in night after night in the UK Tour of the production. She has also starred in the Regents Park Open Air production of The Sound of Music and performed everywhere from The Palace Theatre to the Royal Albert Hall.
In this episode of Your 5 Minute Call, Amber and Laura talk about starting in youth groups, Laura's background doing impersonations as well as the mental and physical demands of playing such a tough leading role.

Seen it in Southampton in June, Just Wow.. was there for my Wife's Birthday.. Just been to see it in Liverpool again with my this weekend and Took our eldest.
She loved it.. we were in the stalls in Southampton and in the Circle for Liverpool and it does give you a different take on the show but the Voices of the Artists were amazing.. I'm so happy that we went to see it.
We loved it that much that for my Birthday in September we are off to see it in London to see how it compares as it must be difficult touring and setting up The show for 3 or 4 weeks at a time...
Anyway Waffling I have seen a few shows from Phantom in London and Back to the Future on Broadway which was amazing btw and so funny..
But Wicked The Tour blows the ones I have seen out the Water..
I did Musicals as a kid at School, Annie, Fiddler on the roof and Half a Sixpence but never carried on as life got in the way...
    But I remember the Buzz....
Laura Pick what a Buzz it must give her when like in Liverpool last night the audience kept clapping and Whooping after yoj sand the Wizard and Me....
    What a Voice...
If you haven't seen it yet get yaself a ticket or two
