Honestly version 2 of monika.exe is the most literal example of why the phrase “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” shouldn’t be ignored. The new sprites are poodoo because they not only ditch the ddlc mod’s art style but they also go too far in making the doki’s look like the characters seen in the sonic.exe mod, as the dokis were made to have their appearances be *inspired* by the .exe mod characters, not straight up copys because that would be ridiculous and put them in the part of the uncanny valley that makes characters look stupid *and* unappealing and not just one or the other. Also the chromatics are poorly executed in v2, they were on the right track with deciding that monika’s chromatics needed to be more edited to not sound exactly like the ddlc mod monika, but they failed on the execution of the idea because they decided that the best solution would be to metaphorically make monika grow a pair, the middle ground between the two extremes would have been way better than the manika that is present in v2 of the monika.exe mod.
Btw your video is fine I just wanted to get that off my chest.

I think its upgraded in some parts. But kinda a downgrade in others.
Really L that the audio got messed up and they had to released it at such a low volume.

I love that when most FnF mods try to “Update” models they end up looking inferior to their V1 counterparts. I know there aren’t many fnf modders out there left but the very few that still exist, heed my advice: If it ain’t broke. Don’t fix it.

@@primeNine_They actually used it based off of Doki Doki Takeover and Triple Trouble: Like Sayori, and Yuri, Natsuki.. not so much… Phase 2 Monika resolves too not so current… EXE, but the old one…! Asmodeus in V2 has the same poses as Xenophanes in general
❤ I'm just gonna say.. people... Suck it up if you can't hear it or not.. But Dw a Remastered version of this mod will be coming out soon! ❤ Plus Asmodues is more hearable and with a remixed sorta chromatic ^^
I like the old laugh then the new one of yuri
Now. Before I critique. Yes. The New sprites technically look better. And I do like the more Unique sprites for Lady Y (Yuri Lord X). But besides that one exception, doesn't mean they're an improvement. To agree with a fellow commentor. They look less like a mix of the Doki Doki Mod Art style and the EXE Art style. Nore like the VS EXE characters that are edited.
(There are 3 exceptions. Sayori Soul, Sunky Natsuki, and Sayori Doll)
For instance. Endless Sayori. Her V1 sprite looks like if Sayori got turned into a Majin. (Similar to what happens to BF if you don't press continue of the Endless Gameover.) But the V2 Sprite just looks like if you took Fl4re's Majin sprite and made him look like Sayori. And of some of them just look bad. Like V2 Super /Fleetway Monika. Her Chromatic is...mid at best. Sure V1 Fleetway Monika didn't look to great either. But it looked like a Super Monika. And it had a good chromatic (even if it was just a slightly edited Monika Chromatic). Or..The Big one. Xenophanes Monika. Now Yes. It does look better. But no. It looks too good. It doesn't fit in with the Doki Doki or EXE Art style. (Except for Phase 1. That looked goofy) And the Chromatic is...It's not bad. But it sounds too much like OG Xeno. So overall. The sprite look better on a technical level. But It strays too far from the OG concept. ("If it ain't broke, don't fix it.") Instead. The Base designs should be expanded upon. And Refined.

@@primeNine_ I mean. When I was listening to the tails doll song I get a sense of fear. But for v2 of monika.exe I can hear the vocals just fine u did great sorry for saying the sense of fear part. It's just a good song. Just has a bit of intensity
