I love how you actually tell people that the stem is poisonous.

A yearly tradition for me and my family. Thank you for sharing it's a great reason to get out into nature that I also cannot recommend enough!

Yep, delish! It helps to use a table fork to remove flowers from stalks ✌️

Ahh this is interesting! I have found that the leaves and stems are mildly poisonous but when cooked they are safe! Thanks for this!

Sorry not related to the video 😅 but im curious as to how you've lesrned Bonsai. Im 21 and live in London - have a couple trees from a garden centre and four from a bonsai retailor... I'm aware of some of the basics but I want to improve and I'm not sure where to start. Would love to learn more about your journey for inspiration 😊

Actually this is quite a bad recipe. Really. You must never cook it. Stems poisonus? Not true.

I'm always open to better recipes! I have read and heard from people that the thicker stems contain cyanide

You heard right Adam 👍 it’s well known and documented!! ALWAYS ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION especially when you’re putting it out in the public domain 👍✌️👌

Most American varieties of elderberries are minimally toxic, but it's best to err on the side of caution. I boil the syrup, then infuse that and vodka with the flowers for up to a week, strain and bottle. We've planted 15 elderberries in our small yard and enjoy both flowers and berries. I make syrup and cordial with the berries and we are setting up to make wine.
