I agree. Also in the vinyl era records were less common than digital distribution nowadays. So it made it harder to get the good tunes. In a way music was more exclusive back then. Top dj's who played the bangers really stood out.
for those of us that grew up with 90s and early 00s trance and prog house we are of course biased and prefer music from that time. It is widely considered to be the best time for this style though. 2001 prog house was amazing
