      @@cage9876 There is plenty of people like that, their claims are as high as a sky (as this video title, no way to sell 2000 key chains daily or even weekly, huge competition).
      If you're make $200-$300 per week you will be lucky.
      Most of DIY production is just that. Less than 1% is making a living from it as competition IS HUUUUUGE. You think that you can make something unique? Watch out, as in 2 miles radius you will get at least 3-4 laser cutters ready to do the same.

    Hi Roger, very informative video. As someone who is not that familiar with lasers I found it quite remarkable. I see you made this video over 2 years ago and I would like to ask you if you still have the same machine and how is it performing ? Have you had to replace the laser tube as I believe you said in another video they have a 10 000 hour life expectancy. Many thanks for making these videos. You, and others like you, who take the time and effort to produce them should be applauded. It is truly remarkable how easy it is to find out about things and also learn from people via the internet. Learning like this - so easily, so fast, so much - would have been impossible only 20 years ago.

    I really like the whole concept. I have a hard time figuring out who will buy that stuff? Can you go more into some of the actual products you sell and how you sell them. For instance do you have just one or two large clients that order hundreds or even thousands of key chains, or do you just make a bunch of different items and go to trade shows? I’m really interested in how you sell your items.

    • @nate-plays
      @nate-plays 5 лет назад +1

      Keyrings, and similar cheap souvenir items, generally would be thousands at a time from big producers, that are then redistributed and redistributed. But there's definitely the option of selling to smaller companies direct that would like merchandise for their business, museum or attraction. These could take a few hundred a month to a thousand or so maybe. It's possible. I'd imagine stalls and shows would be a definite starter to shift some units, and also the best way to meet other small businesses face to face, with your product and idea. The nay sayers above must still see keyrings everywhere they go. Someone is making them, and lots of people buy them.

    At frame 16:17 when we see the honey comb on the inside of the laser, what are those 6 things that the clear sheet sits on? To me it looks like they have magnets as "feet" and the rest look like hooks of some sort. Why are they there? To allow air to circulate more freely to cut down on "smoke stains"? I have a lot of problem with smoke stains on wood. Love the video and will be watching more.

      Lasers are done on distance and focus so probably something like that, wood it burns and need vacuum or something else to remove it in hope to get clean image, you can get a certain laser that might think do clear sheet but when aim it at sheet it lasers what under and not hurt clear sheet but that more if diode laser (the certain laser part)

By lack of information I mean where do you get jigs blank items etc they tell you oh you can print on anything but in commercial world you need a supplier provides you blank items so that you buy those and sell to customers after printing. When I question all that they say nothing

    • @Azzysdesignworks

      @@bozkurtbozok4597 We run a Roland LEF in our shop. If you do not have experience in digital manufacturing (print making, lasers, etc), it can be very difficult to run one successfully. They are expensive, but if you are working them right, can pay themselves off.
      Roland has sales occasionally to get things like free filters. If you look into used machines, it helps to have a knowledge of wide format printer repair at time minimum, or have a local Roland shop that can give it a go over and make sure the lines, pumps, motors, and alignments are all good. If it has been unplugged for a while without using storage carts... expect it to be worth almost scrap.

You said roland has sales occasionally to get free filters, can you explain what that is? Do they give out printing materials or?
      Also is there a supplier sells blank promotional products for UV printing purposes?
      There are so many UV printers out but I think I would only trust Roland or maybe Mimaki( recently discovered that but not much info on that out too).
      To print on some items you use primer or some sort of solution lets say acrylic or aluminum printing, when you use that solution doesn’t leave spots on the material? Thanks again for your time!

May I ask if you smell any kind of smoke or fumes if you work with the machine and just blow the fumes out of the house with some ventilators? because I wanna get a laser too and I am worried that the fumes come back into the house somewhere or if I work with plastic or such stuff it would not be that healthy to have those fumes in the room so what's your opinion? do they get out of the room with that ventilation system? You just need to be able to think about how the best way to go about selling these items is. If you can do this..... you will sell them. I know people who make lots of money making things for gift shops and they are things i never imagined people would buy. A small rock polisher if put in the right hands can make 2000 dollars a day as well. This is a great invention and teaches the people they do not need to be miserable to be happy. If the government actually coordinated a system of selling goods like this instead of keeping wealth to a minimal in the US you wouldn't have the outrage from uneducated people. Education could be built around ideas such as this instead of creating mcdonalds employees. Eventually I will be able to get one of these myself. What he is doing is genius. You can make so much more than just key chains with a laser. If you make the machine do minimal work in a mass production style this gives the machine more life for more profit. I can think of at least 100 things off the top of my head that can be laser cut.

    Is it recommended to use 100W or 130W laser for engraving... The sales person told me that it is not recommended for engraving...

    • @TechNick3D
      @TechNick3D 5 лет назад +1

      Gugan S 100w tubes are hard to engrave with. Great for cutting. But “swinging” a 100w tube i know people have issues. 60-80w seems to be the sweet spot.
      Some machines have dual tubes for this reason. One being much lower for engraving and one for cutting.
      Thats assuming dc glass tube. RF tube is a whole nother beast
