Went through something similar, only T-Mo was saying over and over that new towers were being built... eventually another rep admitted that there were no plans for new towers any time soon... so sick of the cell carrier runaround

Yup that's what they say. I got laid off and am babysitting for my son. His whole area isn't covered. They said they're building more towers. I told them that's a lot of area to drive with no service.

As if any cellular company is going to admit if they’re building new towers in your area. How is a regular customer care rep going to have FCC information? That’s not publicized unless you go through permits in your area.
      That’s why we have options.

This is a definite case where you shouldn't encour costs while you wait and an expert should have recommended canceling your service for the greater good and honesty of putting you on a waitlist and notifying you when it's available.
Waitlist needs beacon on a map and identify coverage gaps with operations. If this is never done operations never gets notified.
In all of these cases it's better for us to help you cancel and waitlist you than keep you strung up.
5G is not suitable for rural areas with degrading cell towers.

Which I did, same 💩 the second guy that I got was automatically trying to get me a booster for my service for $25. After I told him I need my account number to switch. I told him no. I shouldn’t have to get a booster for a service I had for years. I don’t know what he did but after that I couldn’t get into my account. It’s saying I haven’t registered. Never get rid of any paperwork with T-mobile. We had them for 10 days and service was awful. They blamed it on 2013 Tornado that took out towers in Moore, OK. When I returned all the phones after 3 hours of trying to refund the taxes we had paid I was like forget it they can send it to me. The employee told me to keep my paperwork as I may have to file a complaint against them. Sure enough I started being billed for phones. Customer service said you have to call the store manager. The store manager was ALWAYS in a meeting. Then we started getting collection notices for $1600 worth of phones. I would send paperwork showing return and that they owed me $154. Collection would be removed then a couple of months later a new company would start harassing us. This went on for four years. Finally, I told a company that they will just send this to someone new next week and they owe us money and I am about to get an attorney. This time I get a “net billing” from T-mobile showing my $154 credit but somehow justifying a balance due of $34. I just paid it and said whatever as we were building a house and didn’t want it hitting our credit…again. T-mobile is a truly horrid company.

My wife's mother had a line with just her on it and was paying I think it was $120-$150! Now in this day and age, cell phone service should absolutely not be costing anymore than $50-$75.

When it came to the difference between AT&T and T-Mobile, T-Mobile coverage in the area was atrocious, so I know what you're about. My mom has their home internet too at a different spot in my area and it's working great for her. If I had to switch I'd go to AT&T. How’s that scary? If you didn’t have a temporary tower how are you going to get service if the main tower is offline?

@@thanetworknerd nope, sorry, but not even close.
Your phone is never connected to any one tower semi-parmanently the way you're suggesting. The connection is always dynamically changing between different bands on the same tower or combination of bands and between different towers if you're in range of more than one based on signal strength, signal quality and signal to noise ratio.
when you put your phone down it may switch to a different band, when you pick it up it will switch to a higher band and attach a capacity band, if there's no use it will stay only on the anchor band. sometimes it may switch once a second always looking for the best option and best combination of carrier aggregation. days of single 3g signal are long gone. 5g advanced is an entirely different animal.

I signed up for T-Mobile for home internet and 2 mobile lines last week and it’s been a mess of a process and poor cell reception. Sales reps lie and just open accounts without proper info or properly setting stuff up. Also, the service in the suburbs of my major city is so spotty. I’m trying to cancel and move to another provider.

I have not had a chance to watch all your videos, but I plan on doing so this week. Note: The biggest “magenta” flag that I have with T-Mobile is this carrier’s refusal to provide my correct ADDRESS for my wireless plan. Their definition of address relating to: mailing, billing, e911, and every other definition for ADDRESS that this company has created.

    • @mariah-jr9fe

Actually the biggest magenta (criminal) flag is the fact that T-Mobile has had my plan on their First Responder Discount Plan for a year without any verification on file (from me) that I am eligible for this discount. The T-mobile team admitted they caused the error, but refuses to accept any further responsibility. Impersonating a first responder (for personal financial gain) is a 3rd degree felony. T-Mobile and all telecommunications carriers should provide free service to all First Responders based on the nature of their job responsibilities. And they should give my daughter and I free service for life for incriminating my identity. Happy Thxsgiving T-Mobile, time to give thanks back to your customers!

They have a Promo - ONE year free - then starts at $29.99 a month! Now that's more than the $8.99 month for tracfone (my super duper deal) but early disability and SS very very LOW! After much research - seems "doable" and beats most others. Feel comfortable has I already know the company! And the lady who assisted me informed me that her husband had the small flip top (basic - no frills) and he loves it!
Now Verizon is buying Tracfone - where one could always find "super deals" ($99.99 for about 1K minutes with my "rewards points" -for ONE year. Carry forward so on ) Called them many times - hang ups so on. They assign a day to "call you back"???

So T-mobile are not guaranteed, because they post false an advertisement that is not true. so where does that over charge money go??? And Why T-mobile force customers to pay more money, when customers truly need phone service. Also when customers can't afford to pay a phone bill. T-mobile just ignore customers financial problems due to inflation?? T-mobile company is no good for customers who struggle on paying bills. We understand we need to be very diligent on our spending, but still T-Mobile needs to improve their company. It very much depends upon where you live and where you use your phone. Where I live, T-Mobile is now strong and probably a stronger and faster signal than Verizon . However, when I travel to suburbs and especially to certain rural areas. Verizon is the MOST DEPENDABLE. If you drive trucks, your car, or like me, ride 50 to more than 100 miles out of town on your bicycle, Verizon coverage is better, in fact far better than T-Mobile. I will acknowledge that T-Mobile improved the last three years and I think they are as good as AT&T here in my state, Ohio. T-mobile used to be totally dead, NO COVERAGE in South Charleston Ohio. I discovered they give South Charleston a great signal now using LTE Band 41, a former Sprint channel. T-Mobile has the best 5G but I've tested and found I don't really need 5G, it DOES NOT IMPROVE COVERAGE AT ALL. 5G gives you a very fast data connection. Because of that, I moved my SIM from a OnePlus Nord N10 5G which is a mid range, not flagship 5G phone from 2021 to the Samsung Galaxy S10 which is a flagship level phone, only 4G, but it connects to T-Mobile signal well where it can get it including on the new 600 mhz band 71 that has improved T-Mobile's coverage somewhat. However, if riding my bike down the Little Miami Trail in Oregonia Ohio, T-Mobile's signal goes to h*** in a handbasket, No coverage, No band 41, no 5G no band 71. Verizon is weak in this area too, a single bar but it works and I can make phone calls AND stream audio content. Of course it connects on LTE Band 13 which has been Verizon's staple frequency for at least a decade. Even old Verizon LTE phones work pretty well because of this, such as the 2014 Motorola Droid Turbo. I would recommend Twigby, Vsible, or Red Pocket with the CDMA Sim as the way to connect to Verizon's network, Verizon, purchased through Verizon is OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE, even higher for its premium plans than expensive T-Mobile Magenta. Aaron was right to put off the reps trying to sell that Magenta plan to him, if I was going to pay $85 a month for a stinking phone service, I would want it to connect every place I ever travel. T-Mobile, and the MVNO's that connect through T-Mobile are of value because they connect really well in the places where they connect and that is in most cities and suburbs and if you have connection, it is probably faster than the other carriers. Additionally they have 55+ plans, plans for first responders and veterans, and T-Mobile essentials plans that go down to $30, $20 and with the low essential plan, $10 per month, Mint Mobile connects using T-Mobile and if you pay for several months, its $15 per month for 4 gig of high speed. Throttled T-Mobile still carries voice calls, delivers texts, lets you read text on Facebook and still streams audio. No RUclips or videos if your data has been throttled to 2G speeds . I use a cheap T-Mobile plan for my main service and use Twigby which connects on Verizon as a backup when my T-Mobile does not connect and I have no Wi Fi.
