Simon is fast becoming one of the most enjoyable carp anglers on You tube, can't I've watched anything he does which I haven't enjoyed or disagreed with.
Just found this video and it's exactly the film I needed to see right now. Trying to learn these tricky lakes takes a long time when the only feedback you get is silent alarms. This film helps to put it in perspective. Thanks
Great video. From my experience fishing a what i'd call a hard lake and can relate too is not to give up. I've had so many blanks, questioning everything and persisted with tactics i'm comfortable using and paid off with a 24lb common. To me, that was equivalent to a 50, the time I spent being stubborn ended being rewarded. Caught a few more since and it only takes one bite to boost that confidence. Thanks for the upload, enjoyed it 👍
I really dig what he says about carp fishing seemingly is easy in social media. It's very easy to feel worthless compared to other anglers today that pumps out catch photo after catch photo. Blanking is a part of the game.
So informative and great insight to mindset here. Really positive vibes to takeaway from this gentleman. I'm a day ticket guy with a stress job and young family, I barely get time to think about a syndicate. This has inspired me that patience and positivity will be the key.
Some times you have to wait for you and your fishing to mature. Before tackling harder waters. Everyone seems to be in a rush to catch 30s, 40s. Back in the day. We'd aim for 100 doubles and maybe A twenty in a season.
Spot on Simon , and everything you said in this video I am aware of but not all and needed to hear your perspective of it. Really enjoying your knowledge & informative videos. Thanks 👍🏽
Very honest appraisal of what it takes to fish the trickier venues. Nothing against the larger scale commercial day ticket venues but it just isn’t for me. I like the challenge and for me it’s very much like a puzzle. I can see how many anglers become despondent and think blanking is a reflection of their ability. Write up lots of notes, it helps massively. Looking for patterns in the comfort of your living room is another thing to enjoy. However, if you come away after every session knowing more than when you arrived, you’re probably on the right path.
Another cracking video and it's definitely true you don't always catch carp fishing is not about always catching everytime your on the bank I've not actually been on the bank yet as I'm only just getting my gear back together but when I used to go years ago I didn't always catch but it never bothered me or stopped me loving it and you definitely need the patience when going as if you don't have any patience then their is no point in even going at all and I have loads of patience and for me when I was going years ago it wasn't just about catching it was the fact of getting out in fresh air.
Sounds like you gave up because you couldn’t catch and now you’re giving everyone else advice but you haven’t even got any kit yet 😂😂. Thanks mate….your advice is pure gold 😂😂
@@Kingcarparpeggio actually that wasn't the reason as I used to catch quite alot the reason I gave up was because of a health problem that I suffer with and that is the circulation in my body is knackered and when it's to warm my body over heats badly and at the time I had to cut a 4 day away session in half after only being their 2 days my body was overheating that bad I had to come home and I made the wrong decision to hive up and sell all my gear and as of now I've nearly got it all back I only need a few more things then I will be back on the bank.
This could be useful. Fishing a right headbanger atm. 17 acres, 80-100 fish. 50.% out of bounds and out of range atm! Old fish that suss you out, rarely give themselves away. Had a bite in November, lost it. About 10 blanks since😖
Desperate to tackle a tricky water someone had all.my gear out of a storage unit I'm absolutely sick all I've got left is 2 rods mentally it's destroying me
As I've aged I don't mind the blanks, I usually put as much effort into my sessions to maximize my chances, but there's times when I just can't be arsed, wing out the rods on some likely looking spots and just relax in the bivvy, watch RUclips, play online poker, and get a decent night's sleep!
Very real vlog for us all at times but what makes them blanks even better is we learn a little more and wen we do get a banger of a carp big or small we appreciate and it makes it even more special good watch Simon 🫡
Excellent. More like this please, vids of multiple hits of 30s and 40s from highly stocked has been done to death 🙂.

Couldn’t agree more. He speaks really well
Social media! The faster you learn to fish for your own pleasure the more you will enjoy your time on the bank! Great video

The title of this vid basically sums up every water I fish it seems at the moment
If one goes fishing to feed social media, better quit fishing. My big respect to Simon, since "early days".

Feel the same as you. The weight doesn't matter when it takes everything in the skillset to catch them
Catching is a bonus 👌
I'm glad he has mentioned staying of social media, and being patient. Nice one Crowy!
Dudes a legend love everything about his carp fishing

A superb video and a useful reminder to anyone who’s tackling a tricky venue (like me 😁). Thanks for posting 👍
You want to try any of the day ticket lake around Chelmsford, more chance of catching a cold 😳

Same rules apply for any water tricky or not. The only difference is the results...
