Aloha Leo Lyons, First and foremost thank you for all of your great music 🎶 all these years! I'm Waiting for a record shop here in Hawaii to sell your new record album. Always enjoyed all of your music over the years. Hopefully I'll be able to get your new bands record album on line if no shops bring it in here in Honolulu Hawaii. Keep making music..... Mahalo Ed
Aloha Big Ed. Thanks for the kind words and for your support. Much appreciated. You should be able to find the record in Hawaii but if not definitely on line. Regards Leo
Ill be listening until i drop! Looking forward to Movin On and i really really hope you make it near Detroit in 2024!!! I have been listening to your songs for years and they are so energized they never get old to me!!!
Leo- there are plenty of of blues venues here that you could play at. Plus tons of communities have festivals during the spring and summer. You have to come over!
Hi Leo. I'm reading Geezer Butler's book and he cites you as an influence. Great to know Alvin helped Sabbath in the early days by getting them into the Marquee Club
Looking good mate, I'td be good to see you here in the UK, but what you say make sense, especially what you say about tribute bands. They’ve taken over all the best venues, can't blame the musicians and promoters, as it’s the only way they can make decent money. Take care mate. Cam 🎸😎
Thank you for the honest reality of gigging, Mr Lyons. Completely understood. My wish is to somehow, sooner than later, have enough _Medium of Exchange_ for you and your other professional colleagues (and Roadies!) to accept a gig at the Brewhouse, Taunton, one of these old unforgettable evenings - all-found, obviously, and with a Bonus! 🌞 As previously mentioned: *You are one of Nature's True Perfect Gentlemen.* And finally: The faultless backdrop in your splendid, tasteful room in this video, incorporating the perfect placement and dimensions/levels/spacing of your/the braw artwork, deserves a mention! Stay free, Leo. All the best. Rab 👋 🕊
The pianist Daniil Trifonov who was American/Russian citizenship couldn’t get a visa to play at world premiere during the Proms this summer. The programme had to be altered, as a result. Can’t blame people for going where the love is ....
Good day Leo, thank you so much for the update! We'd absolutely love to see you in the Philly area! There's a huge blues and other music scene in Lancaster County, a bit west of Philadelphia, one of my childhood friends is Kevin Gannon of Moe Blues Band, amazing harp player, he also books shows and knows many industry friends who could possibly help with gigs in the area. Keep us posted. Love you Leo and thanks for all the great music!
I totally understand the problem. Nice to see you here Leo, Keep playing if only for your own soul and spirit, thats what I do, I even sometimes give myself an encore......😃
Hi Leo, it’s such a pleasure to see you doing these uploads and hearing about tour plans/difficulties. I became a huge TYA fan many years ago, never got to see the classic line up though, but saw Alvin with his “Ten Years Later” band about 40 years ago when they visited my area. Good to see you and the guys still rocking it solid fashion. Stay healthy !
Hi FenceThis. Thanks for the kind words and for watching my channel. You probably already know that I no longer play with TYA. For the past 11 years I've had my own band 'Hundred Seventy Split' You can check out our music on Spotify etc. I feel it's a continuation of my musical journey from the early TYA days. Stay well. Regards Leo.
Ten Years After was the headliner, and J. Giles was the opener Oct. 1971. Then 5 years later at what had to be the worst venue ever, an Ice rink, with the ice covered by cardboard. I loved the show while feeling like the bands were totally duped into doing a show there. The band Earthquake was the opener. I could tell Alvin Lee was surprised how crappy the venue was by the look on his face. Still played for us the audience, we were happy for that. Thank All Of You !!!
Hi MartyThanks very much for your help. To start with we need festivals or a support tour to make it work. Once that's in place we can look for individual shows. Fingers crossed. Regards Leo
My sister God rest her, introduced me to TYA back in the late 60's and you couldn't help but notice Leo with his bouncing head. What musician and what a nice fellow. If Hundred Seventy Split make it to Brighton I'm in!
Hey Leo! if you have time to make a video I'd love to hear some Ten Years After and Black Sabbath Stories, after all these years I had no idea that you guys had quite a lot of history, take care man!
My friends and I really enjoy your music. Every album you've put out as HSS is outstanding. I mean that. If you see your way clear to play in America's Heartland, please try to play somewhere near Des Moines, Iowa. I promise to come. It would be the highlight of my year to see you and your mates! You guys rock! Thanks for the music Leo.
170 days for a Visa to come to the U.S. ? Unreal! Just come across the southern border like everyone else is doing..smh Would love to see you guys in America! God Bless 🙏🏼
Do the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. TYA did 50 years ago. Itv was opened under new ownership maybe 12 years ago. Get The Led Out performed there, Moody Blues, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and just last week, Peter Frampton. According to an old neighbor of mine who moved away many years ago, when he and his wife were teenagers in the late 60s, They saw every Band form A-Z there......Allman Bros to ZZ Top. TYA , The Who, Sanatana, Doobie Bros., J Giels, Grateful Dead [there is a Jerry garcia Loungte there because the GD performed there many times]etc. about a 1500 person theatre
Thanks Leo 🎵🎶🎶
My pleasure.
Thanks Mister, big band TYAfter! Wonderful band I have several LPs I listened to them with taste, music always alive! Thank you 🙏

Me and my friends would absolutely love to see you in USA hope you can do it one day even though it’s very challenging
Hi Austin. We'd love to play some shows in the USA but as you say it's difficult. I never give up trying to make it work. Regards Leo
Leo- there are plenty of of blues venues here that you could play at. Plus tons of communities have festivals during the spring and summer. You have to come over!
We're working on it.
Perfectly clear !

I must read Geezers book. Our paths crossed quite a bit in the earlier years.
@@LeoLyonsMusician It's called Into the Void. Geezer says Alvin didn't like the name Black Sabbath and advised against using it
Thanks for the info.@@markravitz1684

Do a ten years after turbute band😅

Hi Leo, did you ever played in South América ?
No. Sadly never. We were against the audience segregation they had there at the time. I hear SA is a lovely country.

Covers bands 👎
That's what many people are happy to go and see. Promoters book bands that draw people. I understand.
