Notice how it wasn't easy to find the video clips where Tae has funny or cute interactions with the customers? It's hard because he was kept in the kitchen 95% of the time. That's why viewership dropped. Everyone wanted to see V and that show failed to take advantage of his wit and charm by letting him interact with the customers. And apparently when he signed on he was told he would be a server. You can tell in his interviews that he is markedly unenthusiastic. Appears to me Seo Jin wanted to make sure he was seen as the star of the show. He would have been better received if he had let the young people shine & took a back seat. How did he not grasp V was the reason for all the interest in the show? Seems unlikely Amazon Prime would have picked it up without him.
I agree that they made a mistake and I was shocked they didn't make better use of V's extrovert, friendly manner when they had problems drawing customers into the restaurant on some days. V is wonderful and always 1 of a kind.
wdym by dropped lol it had apx 8% (its lowest) even on the days when it was clashing with football match, its constantly is being the most-watched variety show even its reruns are getting more views than other shows plus they did good with not keeping him on the forefront since 1. he doesnt know how to speak english as well as seojin and wooshik 2. If he was in the front it would have been a chaos also idk if you are on twt and tiktok but the number of stories Mexican fans told about how crowded it used to get and fans used to wait outside the restaurant just to catch a glimpse its good he was working in the kitchen
It's my recollection that ratings dipped somewhat (compared to their own shows, not to other shows) following episode 4 when some people probably gave up on waiting to see V being cute & funny. I doubt your opinion of keeping Tae hidden in the kitchen being a good decision is widely embraced.
@@CAL-jj4om yes ratings did drop two time but it was coz of a baseball match and a football match both airing at the same time as that of the show but at the same time if you look at the re-run ratings for those episodes its way higher than usual meaning people just skipped on the show to watch the game. While I am on your team coz I love seeing tae interact with customers but at the same time I think we have to think how it would have affected the filming. Iif you know they didnt disclose them flying to mexico it was after 1st sighting of tae and seojoon people got to know he was in mexico, and you see how once the word got around that tae is here so many people started flocking the restaurant, if you look closely you can pinpoint who is an army and who is not even if they dont disclose it.
