Damn good interview. I like how the brother showed plenty of love and respect to his Chief Bobby Lavender. Also like how the brother didn't put no extras on his story. Salute
Great interview. I appreciate the OG honesty. What's very interesting is alot of the first generation anti Crips really didn't embrace the Blood identity. Especially older heads out the Pueblo's alot of older heads was letting the young homies get rushed in the County Jail in them early 80's now I see there ideology.
Dope interview Melle Mel. Can't wait for the upcoming parts. Been waiting on this since Jimmy Lavender's mention on Kev Mac's platform. Much love to you, Kev and S Mac. Keep doin y'all stuff 💯
Good job Melle mel.i love your interviews. Damn it was funny big bro said that shit so sincere, not joking or taking a shot "damn Raymond must have been slow" lolol hahaha
I noticed that back in the day alot of people were getting they buff on, knew some type of martial arts and boxing like it was almost mandatory. We should get back to that.
Caught your work on Kev Mac videos. Appreciate what y’all do. Advising the youth about the pitfalls of these LA streets. I’ll be tuning in to your channel too.
Yo Melly Mel, check it out man I used to hear my dad mention his name long years ago my dad was original Eastside wall-nut, Little Tommie. My dad came up with Bobby and Jimmy lavender. cuz you know everybody on the Eastside damn near knew everybody cuz the Eastside was very small compared to the Westside. Haven't heard his name in a long long time. And you ain't lying about that name thing, my dad went by Little Tommie or just T or Shorty cause he was 5, 1. With chunks. And even my uncle Big John Seales he went by his whole name cuz he had hands too you know he the one who didn't like Jamel from Avalon. It'll be three years this May 11th that my dad has been gone, he would have been 69 this June 10th. This interview right here is a hidden treasure. I was trying to get my dad to think about being interviewed by Kev Mac but then he had that heart attack and stroke back in December 2018 then passed in May 2019. Love the work you doing man peace out
i heard clardy clay and batman from the eastside crips did a documentary together that has a lot of dope flicks out of batmans private stash of pictures that he usually wants money for. i was never able to find it or watch it.
I remember Clardy and he is correct Bobby stated the Bishops a few days after his friend was killed. Randy Turpin is still alive and lives on 87 Bandera st . Last time I saw Space Ghost was in 1976/77 he had lost one of his eyes PCP
Also if I can add on to what I was saying. When the split came between the Crips and the Bloods, my dad said that they thought the division was ridiculous that's why they never turn crip or blood. The walnuts stayed out of it, neutral. They were friends with a lot of people and was a bridge between a lot of neighborhoods. You know they can go anywhere and if someone was turning the party out they will try to squash the beef.
Keep in mind I know what you are saying but others will hold you accountable to the term BLOOD it didn't come into existence until 74 or 75 therefore we use term like Piru or anticrip gangs.
@@Dahoodpostman yes Sir... Let me rewind that..LOL as S Mac say LOL the split happened where Raymond and company were recruiting for ES Crip....they stayed out of that... They was like naw...we good on 87th and Main...we Wall Nuts... Then latter on... When people stood up to that formation... Lots of folk thought the Wall nuts were bloods cause of that...and they like...No...we can still be cool but we not joining that either... There I had to make it make sense ...
@@Steve0verton i always thought the walnuts were a brim set, from the brief era where the brims had more sets than the crips. not all of these sets had the word brim in their name either when you listen to the infamous elgin intetview on kmv. i'm not 100% positive if he gave the walnuts brim status or not i would have to listen to it again.
@@bigbaba4542 nope!!! Not at all...they were cool with the Brims...And everyone else. Some thought they were Brims cause they had close ties... But also were close to others... The West Side Crips... My Pops and Donald Archie and John Seals...all family. The Wall Nuts didnt join the ES Crips ..because why? ...and same thing when the Bloods was forming...why?.. They stayed out of that and didnt trip and folk didnt come down 87th and Wall trippin either... They stood they ground. The Nuts were a small group of cats my Dad, John Seals, the Bugiuose brothers check my spelling i know i butchered they name. Bay Bay thats the rapper singer LVs brother and others.
seeing that picture of bobby lavender and thinking about the time line really makes me wonder how bruce lee would have fared against a "hand god" from watts. i mean some people think he was the real deal but he was also very small with very limited full contact training and sparring. i think a gang member from that time would probably KO him pretty easy.
Damn good interview. I like how the brother showed plenty of love and respect to his Chief Bobby Lavender. Also like how the brother didn't put no extras on his story. Salute
Also in this interview Clardy makes it clear when the blood thang started... so A.C. is telling the TRUTH
Part 2 has a surprise in Westside Crip history
