This will prevent or greatly reduce the incidents where police blindly follow illegal instructions issued by politicians and/or their superiors who should also be held to account for the actions or lack thereof of their own and of their subordinates! If it is not yet a law, it needs to be, such that police in uniform wear clearly identifying information last name and at minimum first initial as well as police service identification number clearly visible on their uniforms. When they are on duty but not in uniform, they must clearly display identification when requested and when they make contact with a member of the public and are requested to do so. They must clearly articulate their particulars (name and police service number).
