    Suits delves into the fast-paced, high-stakes world of a top Manhattan corporate law firm where hotshot associate Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht, “Love & Other Drugs”) makes a risky move by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams, “Old School”) a brilliant but unmotivated college dropout, as his associate. As he becomes enmeshed in this unfamiliar world, Mike relies heavily on the firm’s best paralegal Rachel (Meghan Markle, “Horrible Bosses”) and Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna (Sarah Rafferty, “Brothers & Sisters”) to help him serve justice. With a photographic memory and the street smarts of a hustler, Mike proves to be a legal prodigy despite the absence of bonafide legal credentials.

    Mike could have done a lot of things. He could've tried working for a foundation that helped people, he could still work in banking just a different kind. We're shown again and again how intelligent Mike is. Or he could've started his own company

      Actually no, I know it's a TV show and not real life but in real life that's how things work. He has no qualifications, didn't graduate college, no working experience that he could put down to be legit. No one is gonna hire him based on "trust me bro I'm smart". No one would even give him the time to prove his intelligence. Even Harvey didn't at first until Mike kept pushing. Mike got lucky because Harvey was curious. A lot of other people wouldn't be and would've just chased him out of the room.

      @@azimtv7419 Never thought I might say that one day, but Tesla would hire him. He has the brains and talent to be something special. They value that above graduation and work experience.

      @@azimtv7419 He could still work in banking. Be a bank teller, work his way up. He just got lucky because Harvey is dishonest. His resume could be great if he just got a regular job instead of thinking he should start at the top.

    I kind of wonder how Mike would have done under Forstman. He would have taught Mike the ruthlessness and calculating nature beyond a normal lawyer. To be uncaring of people. That combined with his mind, would Mike have eventually ousted Charles? Take everything he had for himself, and see Charles grovel? For revenge?

    • @RobonRoll-co5tr
      @RobonRoll-co5tr 2 месяца назад +12

      I think if he tried to ruin Forstmann, he could not, because by that time Forstmann would have found some dirt on him.

      @BobPaganPaganBob 2 месяца назад

      You don't get it do you. He didn't care about Mike. All he wanted from Mike was to get information on Harvey. He knew having someone that was that close to Harvey work for him would be beneficial to him. Forstman wanted Harvey buried.

    I never understoof why they couldn't have just hired MIke as a consultant, rather than a lawyer. He wouldn''t need to practice law, and do all of the lawyery things directly, but surely he could provide advice to the firm on various cases as long as he's not doing the legal stuff himself?

    If Mike Ross was that smart he could work part time at the firm and finished his schooling. All any of them wanted out of Mike was that he was a Havad graduate, which he could have gotten with little effort. So the writers took years to get Mike accepted to the bar and in the interim used that picadillos as an emotional hook to keep us engaged.

    • @Quercusrubis
      @Quercusrubis Месяц назад +6

      Well, he never finished his undergrad, so to finish that and additionally get a JD part-time would have taken the entire length of the show. But NYS actually allows legal apprenticeship in-place of a JD, which is arguably what he did under Harvey. Mike's actual crime isn't not having an education, it's lying about having been accepted into the Bar and lying about having graduated Harvard to be part of Pearson Hardman, which amounts to defrauding his clients, which is what he was charged with.

    • @brimstoneclub
      @brimstoneclub 29 дней назад +1

      I agree. With all the money he made while he was there, Mike should've had enough left over to send himself to school.
