I had a base in the Ash Heap for a long time. If you look behind Welch Station you'll see a walkway going up the cliff-side. Go up there and you’ll pass a ruined coffee stand inhabited by Murgle the cat. Beyond that are some nice building areas with great views over the Heap. Some large ponds too, for water.
I love the guards. I think I will use them in the covenant style fort I made from the one you did earlier. Bloody beautiful this one is.
Don't know if it was mentioned, but all around this flat build area in it's Hill sides there's TONS of mineral deposits. Gold black titanium, silver, really everything almost
Ash Heap has loads of awesome building areas. My latest build is just north west of there, above the train station.
I have a small camp on the black titanium deposit in the northern end of the ash heap just west of the junkyard and while it’s my simplest camp yet, it’s by far my favorite and the longest I’ve ever kept one. One of these days I’ll figure out how to take a video of it and post it up

Cool build. Only you could make me like a build using those god awful concrete defense walls. They have to be among the most unrealistic pieces in the game. Where would you even find walls like that and how would you move and erect them? Brick or cinderblock would be much more believable. Still. Creativity shouldn’t be shackled for the sake of realism. And I always enjoy the art you create.👍🙂
Wicked Crayon Yep. The game needs some new settlement building pieces really badly. Bethesda are sitting on a ton of unused assets from FO4’s settlement building, and we’re nudging up on the year old mark, yet next to nothing has been seen. I just want junk walls, damn it.

its been a totally different game since march it plays best on pc is still relatively broken on xb1 and ps4 its more than playable
I built my camp as a simple 6x2. Vendors and generator downstairs and crafting stuff upstairs. Easy to move, easy to use, not much budget used.
Those concrete walls take up a lot of budget as you noticed there, that's why I never use them. There are certain building items that are just a big no-no for me because of how much budget they take, which is obviously a shame.
Agreed, but I'll use them for a theme build. I'll probably use them this week on a Settler themed camp.

I'm really curious how you would do on building/adding on to an existing structure in the game. Kinda like the FO4 Sanctuary videos of adding in new floors, walls and ceilings. There are several pre-existing structures you can place your camp at and use. Example - the creepy cat house by Morgantown. Curious as to if you can put in a new second floor and what kind of decorating you'd do inside the house as well as whatever building additions you'd do to the outside. It would be grand!

Hey norespawns big of your work since fallout 4 I wanted to ask have I thought of building in the ash heap trailer you can wake up in after taking a nuka shine or the raised train car by the lower half of the map south of bogtown those are pre-existing structures I think you like to work with
My only complaint about the bungalow, is the interior boundaries. So many items end up on its roof 😅

You should build in the mire there is a hole in the road you can drop into and its sorta open I know I'm gonna mess with it ... The hole is in the middle of the road

Is this able to withstand a legendary explosive blooded mini gun 3 star from a lv 256 because I’m constantly having to fight back and be greifed by different high lv’s and scorch beasts?!?

do you still play FO4 sometimes? after playing forever on the PS4 im hopping back to PC. and im currently building at Vault 88. im not making a vault though. its like a ''fallout shelter'' build by the minuteman. where people can come to take cover when shit hits the fan again. but these are not regular minutman. if you come over suspicious or with the wrong attitude. you're out on your own.
We currently have 15 people working in there already to build a better life for others. we get a weelky suply of guns from some bribed gunners. farmers bring 40% of their yields everytime. ( they have a guaranteed spot ) we are looking for extra personal to patrol the outer sides and scout ahead for any threats heading our way. myself as the general is wearing a pipboy / preston garvey is( i had a good talk with him and said. ''its time to stop with these bs settlements quest'' and he agreed. ) and another captain that is looking out deeper in the vault also has been givin one. someone know him as ''Paladin Dance'' who proved himself over many times just to get kicked out by his ''own'' people.

It doesn't seem like it, cause he actively says things and does them in game within the first minute or so. Like checking names of items and counting things.

Wow you just only worked out something people have done for weeks and weeks.... And stopped doing because the dummies can't get in to use the vendors to buy stuff.
James Australian thanks. I suppose it’s nice for the other people that they’ve done that for weeks and weeks, but that doesn’t mean we all have just intuitively absorbed the knowledge. No one told me how. I saw one camp like that, not many, and I thought about it and followed what they’d done.
Someone else knowing how for a long time doesn’t negate the wonder and newness of it for me.
In fact, I’d bet there are others who don’t know how to do it yet too.
