Recently started pre-parting and lemme tell you, whether pro or amateur, it makes braiding a whole lot easier. I feel like I just discovered a treasure! And with it, measuring size and amount of hair to use is so much easier.
I think if you're already a pro, you probably don't need to pre-part. But if you're a learner then pre-parting is a good way to guide you to stick to plan
I've been braiding for over 25 years. I used to pre part, it helped me to speed up service without sacrificing quality. After doing it for a while, I found it no longer necessary. I dont need to do it for speed or quality anymore.
I had a sweet little African American foster kiddo a few years ago and I didnt know a lick about natural ethnic haircare then, but I knew her hair was a part of her identity and culture so I reached out to local black mommas and learned how to fix that baby's hair and keep it healthy. I had to stick to simple twists and braids, nothing this complex of course. She is not in our home anymore but I still love to watch African American haircare videos. So much love goes into it. Just gorgeous.
Oooh... neat hair is so attractive. And those knotless braids look so natural. If I could learn how to do feed-in, I could do my own hair. Idc how many tutorials I watch, my brain doesn't pick it up. So I have to do the regular braids. These are sexy!
I'm still learning the concept myself but I tried a crochet technique that works for me. It's no feeding in but I'm working on getting the technique down since these are in style right now.
I like this youtuber. She does "braiding school" on here. This is her feed in " class". If you stick to it you'll get it. And I usually try difficult styles on someone else's hair, it makes me understand it more. Good luck! ruclips.net/video/stodAY8XuIA/видео.html
Really? I think I’m wired backwards or sump’ cause to me these are easier than box braids. My box braids be loose at the root but I can do the knot less just fine. Keep trying cause if u can do the regular way you definitely have talent.
I always prepart not only my hair but my girls hair as well when braiding. It helps me to see exactly how the braids will fall and what pattern I'm going for but it also reduces the time spent on a style beautiful style tfs 🙂
I don’t even know how to braid myself but watching these type of videos, witnessing the entire process (the braiding and parting) is somewhat satisfying. I hope one day I can be as good as you. I swear, you make this look so easy! ❤️
Results are nice and neat. Preparting definitely saves time. I do a no feed in crochet knotless technique when time is an issue. You can get the same results but in less time.
Great method for keeping all that extra hair out of the way. Seem very time efficient as well. Very pretty outcome. The hair in the way is my main issue lol
Hi! If you need more help or more ways to perfecting your craft Vandy Vanity is a great youtuber. She does "braiding school" on here. Here's a video of hers on parting. I wish you the best and hope you find her channel useful. ruclips.net/video/NogT0UlU1To/видео.html
Well...I definitely need to strategize how to do my niece's hair bc it took me like twelve hours to do it....I admit that I don't like pre-stretching the hair and I do it wrong I'm sure. I take years trying to part PERFECT...I definitely need to figure things out to keep it short, simple, and cute! Great job by the way!!!
@aigeybay have you ever tried purchasing the pre-streched hair? I like using those and it saves me a lot of time👌🏾 Ez Braid, Queen B, and Kima EZ Professional are a few I like to use. But there's plenty others
Seems all knotless look like this. Guess since it's time consuming they are all medium/large braids. The rows are too wide too. I'd think at least the braids on top or in the front would be smaller. Oh well it's a neat job tho.
I agree,I don't like all that opened room.To me it's more of a child's look nd style,bc a child would be able to get away with it than an adult.I have seen even other styles like this with even more braids nd alot of opened space, but I guess it's the style that your going for.
In order for the fuller effect they have to be smaller...it definitely can be done...this was probably her preferred look... Plus the smaller the more expensive... Not to mention that the space also gives the illusion that it could be her own hair that's braided so the spaces also adds onto that illusion...
Great work! 👍🏾 where are you located?? I would love to have this exact look. This is what I’ve been wanting yet have not been able to acquire. From the size of parts, the amount of hair added dwn to the length this is exactly what I’ve been wanting 💯
Great Job! I would love to find someone in Louisiana to do my hair like that. I am a mature female who would just like to not mess with my natural growing out salt and pepper gray hair. Love the look, even with the color mixed in.
It depends on hair type and length for me .sum short coarse hair is a no 😒for me .if its less than 2 "it need to be braided up asap or i find myself reparting and seperating the hair all over again evn with clips in place.but generally its beat to prepart it cn shave an hour off your time in any style.
I prefer pre parting because I can just sit back and braid instead of looking in the mirror back and forth but I still look haha. Love the video and the outcome ❤❤❤
Kind of remind me of plait braiding with extra hair added and it's not connected..Plait braids always connected...These are cute..look natural too...look easy on the edges.
I expected the braids to be super long with you adding that many pieces but it wasnt. How short was the hair you were using? Or how many pieces did you cut the hair into?
Mia Porche yesh but it’s feeding it in tht takes the time instead of alrdy having the hair in one piece you have the add the hair in to thicken the braid. I know what i said .
Actually they are quicker to me and less hair! 5 hrs for knotless 6 to 7 traditional. 3 to 4 packs for knotless 5 to 6 packs for traditional. Large knotless take 2 in a half hrs without pre parting.
still learning spacing from one row to another, how do you all measure your parts? I use my comb but I’ll have an awkward row that’s more of a rectangle than a square, and I’m trying to improve my parting/spacing. Will preparting help?
Thank you I’ll def try, @Ame Naomi @legacy by Zenora other tips are still welcome! I’m wanting to get the sizing and shaping of my parts as perfect as possible. Like how to get the rows even so that all of my rows boxes are boxes instead of a row of rectangles. Lol I hope this makes sense.

Royal Gems i think so too.
I find it easier and faster pre-parting.
It definitely is easier and faster. If I do designs when cornrowing, I pre-part it with colored rubberbands so it's easier
Me too
Same. When I prebraid it goes by much faster
Wow. Her hair looks AMAZING!!! Your so talented.

Great method for keeping all that extra hair out of the way. Seem very time efficient as well. Very pretty outcome. The hair in the way is my main issue lol
To answer your question it Absolutely Does!!! The results proves that it does! 👍🏾💅🏾
Beautiful😍 I have always loved this look!
I love this technique it looks like her real hair 😍😍😍
Now I really like her braids, I have had knotless braids and this is the type and size I want and can't seem to get this achieved.
I'm a 13yro girl I can braid but my parting is never clear this helped so much ❤️

Use a small tooth comb or the metal end of a rattail comb... Or a combination of the two like I do. 💜
@@str8nochaser875 yes the metal tooth comb makes the world of a difference with parting!!

Well she made this look simple enough. More like simple asf . Prepart
Try buying prestretched hair . I like Que hair or freetress prestretched
nice job but not full not enough braids for me

@@Sandra-rt3ez The length was short also. But I know most braiders adjust styles according to their clients pocket.
I think part of the reason it looks thin is because the parts aren't window blocked. I have seen these done very full.

Thank You! 🥰
Beautiful job. I need to try this style.
I usually do my own hair and it takes time I think I will try this strategy and start by plating then go line by line like you do
Loving the background music and your definitely good at what do girl wooooh !
This is very neat, great work!
Idk why I’m watching this. I dont even do my own hair lol. But the hair parting was just so satisfying to watch. I’m weird.
Can you make a walk thru video on the knotless and how many strands you use for each braid
So neat, cute and simple😍😍😍

Amazing job!!! 😍😍
Am new to the channel and it looks beautiful 💯💯👍
How long did it take to complete, and how long will this style hold up?
This probably took 4-6 hours. These usually last for months(2-3) depending on how well you maintain it at night
Super cute, love it😍💖

Do these hurt as bad as regular braids?
Not at all! They should be called painless or hurtless braids because it's way less tension than regular braids.

What is that called the oil or Gail are you using???????????also the foams that you put at the end???
Nice tutorial neat braids
What's the foamy white stuff? And what is it used for?
I think that's leave in conditioner. It helps the hair stay put and keep it neat. I'm not sure, but anyone can correct me
Chauna Walker It is Mousse.. It sets the hair and takes away any frizz.
Chauna Walker i use Tresemme mouse after i do my spring twists.
