I think Lantis realized their mistake with not letting characters with two types of voices to freely switch between them only when Aqours was formed, as we can see with Yohane.
@@sakuraliuell564 maki has it consistent across all songs she's in, partly because her VA Pile is a full time singer which made her vocal characteristics so strong. With honoka, I'm not sure. I never heard (or probably have already forgotten) her using a different kind of voice.
