Also i think Souls games are in fact more popular because they dont really have the complexity of some other action games, but they are still punishing enough to most players. Souls games do one thing very very well, and that's punish "Button mashing" . Lots of players like to just mash buttons, and because thats what they are fighting mainly Souls feels more like a game the majority can stand to overcome. Add something like Nioh into the mix where you are not only punished for button mashing, but actually need much better execution when it comes to button combinations, while enemies/bosses are much faster, you get less players interested because it feels less possible to overcome as a trial. i think thats why a lot of soulslikes are as popular. but yeah all this to say i dont think "Simple" is necessarily a bad or good thing. but in the context of SAO as you'd have to be familiar with a lot of their games, i think it is a good thing.tho things being less cheesable in this game vs others where you can just get unholy stats doesnt make it easier. Need to be good at timing your dodge/guards, and how to maximize punishes, compared to FB where ur hitting stuff rather early for 99999 with low difficulty.
They also kinda rushed us by making us reach lvl 90 for the Ex raid within the first 2 weeks. We have F100 and samurai boss in the game yet it's not one of the bosses in the rotation.
@@DarkHeart_X yes the rush was unnecessary. I didn’t see a point to drop ex raids that fast, and people still playing early on. That’s just poor management on their end.
I think the game doesnt need more endgame or it isnt the top priority. Adding more bosses to the raid pull and a coop lvl 100 with random map can be good but i think the key is to make something similar like grand blue relink. In that game u spent 10h upgrading to max level a charcter and considering there is 21 chars, that make a total of 210h hour of game + 60h to complete story and reach endgame. But why do u even consider on building all 21 chars? Build and gameplay variety. In relink u can feel the uniqueness of each chars in terms of gameplay something like each weapon in monster hunter. If u would spend 5h to lvl up a char to 100 rank and another 5h to make the build (adding a system to create accesories, not rng) you could be easily playing for +200h and they could even add more chars. What type of build would make this possible? For kirito when activating L1 skill if you do 3 skills in a row the forth one can be an ult. This with extra skill dmg, reduced cooldown and ult dmg could be nuts. Plus some rank rewards could give u extra unique passives like the previous mentioned which can change the playstyle, good accesories like bounty in fatal bullet, weapons or even new skills to swap. I think this is what devs should aim. This game is not an AL so having a long endgame isnt the solution but to make people want to play through a good chars system.
@@neovpx9864 endgame means having bosses to fight and things to do not necessarily like AL. FB had an endgame because in this game you don’t really grind for anything or build for anything with the bad RNG. You can’t really make much of builds tbh since it doesn’t offer that much. People who building characters are for using it higher contents and challenges in general otherwise what are you using them for?
@YudaBest you build the chars to play with them and try their playstyle. Overwatch, lol, they dont have endgame, you just play with other chars for fun. Of course they will have to add harder missions to mach the player base power level but as i say the priority is to solve gameplay and builds, then they can add all the missions and bosses they want. But imagine they increase lvl cap to 200 and add 3 more tiers of Coop with 2 maps each one, with the current Gameplay and gear progression do u see yourself playing and enjoying that?
@ the things builds are somewhat important otherwise we’ll be just level up and hit more that’s about it. Tbh we can somewhat forget about builds in this game that’s not important as for them to put more maps and modes. Just need more contents, and call it good. Let’s be honest SAO vets play this game and not expect builds at this point lol.
@@YudaBest gb fantasy relink was something like this. Doing the same 3 missions all over again but tanks to the fantastic roster, characters uniqueness and extreme difficulty of the missions It was pretty fun. A lot of ppl (with over 200h xd) start complaining and saying the same as you: we need more endgame, more Monsters, weapons... But the Game wasnt build for that. @@YudaBest dont think we have sao fd's sales yet, but i doubt it sold 1m yet. i do know it was number 1 in steam japan sales for a bit, which is a feat in itself when paired against the likes of Dragonball , Metaphor, etc. so it definitely did well enough if that was the only data relevant.
I dont know if u played the Game but i spent 500h just building all the chars and enjoying the fights just like other ppl. A lot of ppl (with over 200h xd) start complaining and saying the same as you: we need more endgame, more Monsters, weapons... But the Game wasnt build for that. I want AL 2 or HR 2 but i think this is a good opportunity to explore other type of game design and this is something we have never seen in sao games and, as gb relink, can be amazing.
@ I don’t play these type of games like I stated because i like builds and mostly challenges. Which is probably why it seems like to others I don’t find it interesting that much. It’s really just the genre of the game and not build for that. I can understand that since this game is just for fun that’s about it.
i would like if they at least give us a legendary drop per co op quest or boss raid keep the rng to what that legendary drop is be it weapon or accessory just 1 guaranteed legend drop would make this game a bit better
@@reanschwarzer1525 It would actually because an epic or legendary would be okay for certain fight. Then again they want people to really farm and play the game. Also have to worry about people get it easy without doing anything.
@@YudaBest yeah and since player rank 100 is the end goal with how low the player base is right now they need to give us 1 guaranteed legend drop per quest to keep the grind going, just because you get a legend drop doesnt mean it will have good passives.
