    Sovereign power belongs to the people, that’s chapter 1 of Kenya’s constitution. Martha Karua says the GenZ protests that have rocked Kenya have reawakened the spirit of fighting for a better Kenya and restored hope for the nation. SC Karua knows Kenya is in a mess and challenges the Gen z that the Kenya they desire to see is only achievable only when they vote in the right leaders. She believes the course is right and all constitutional offices in Kenya have a role to play and the citizens must play their role in fixing Kenya.
    #MarthaKarua #Kenya #African #Parliament #vote #Fixingkenya #GenZ

    12:12 - Accountability in church money as raised by Gen Z
    13:41 - Dr. Ruto the Gen Z movement amounts to a recall

    Kalonzo,karua are the only sound and sane politicians in Kenya.Even thought the part she played in Kibaki is still fresh in our minds but we didnt regret her action because her choice(Kibaki) was good.

    • @lekis5975
      @lekis5975 Месяц назад

      Granted Kibaki was her man, but he wasn't the country's choice. He was voted out but used forced to stay in power, by doing that, he took us straight back to the Moi Era. Karua supported him, for whatever reason. I guess she was being loyal...only for him to jettison her and surround himself with slippery characters.
      That said, by and large, she is not corrupt and has always stood on the side of right. There are many male Kenyan politicians who have done far worse and were forgiven including Ruto the killer, who is now in office. You are judging her harshly because she's a WOMAN.

    • @ogwellpeter7636
      @ogwellpeter7636 Месяц назад

      She is among those who precipitated the coup against Railas win in 2007. She has not apologised for the killings that happened post 2007 elections. Those smooth talks will not bring back those who died. She is right, we will look at the history, the history of 2007, 2008.

    Before picking any future leader, I would urge everyone to critically review the constitution to see if it is in line with the needs of the peoples of different ethnic groups; check that there are no restrictions on peopels rights to express themselves in their own language / culture. Ensture there is no western influences such as the requirement for indigenous peoples to pay taxes. I do not think this should be happening especially when the abundant resources belong to the peoples. Here in the UK, the taxes are extortionate because the thieves in this corrupt governmental system, ensure they continue to rob the masses under roguely imposed statutes and codes that they call law. If the peoples really want to solve their own problems, they must not look to Western input on any level. If you do then the same problems currently faced today will continue to happen desprite new leadership. Clearly the twisted governmental systems inherited by Kenya from the British was set in place to only serve the elite British interests. Finally, I would strongly urge you not to pivatise the basic needs of the peoples like water, lighting and gas, schools/colleges/universites, community centres, etc. If you do, then you will most certainly have serious social ssues in the near future. Here in the UK, when most of the basic needs were privatised under Thatcher, poverty skyrocketed. You won't believe it, but we have thousands of homeless people living on the streets. Although governmental financial benefits are available, they are most definitely not sustainable. Look to your own country's circumstances and deliver the right policies according to need......it is a must! There are currently countries in West Africa that have taken their soveregnty to another level by removing the very enemies that deliberately created ongoing conflicts and poverties whilst protecting their own interests.
