Really hoping they lean into the horror aspects more than they did in House of Ashes which was more of an action military rpg. This developer really has the potential to create true horror but for some reason they like to veer on the side of teen thriller with some cheap BS twist at the end. This trailer looks really promising!
I remember a while ago I read a comment theorizing that they were basically making an anthology out of classic horror cliches. The cliches would be the theme of the games, and that honestly seems the most plausible to me! Edit: instead of cliche I mean just overall horror genre like psychological ones or like sci-fi

Supermassive is on a roll !! I really hated little hope but everything else they’ve made has been a blast !! The quarry is probably my favorite thing they’ve come out with. Hope they’re next long game comes out in less time tho but it’ll be worth the wait if it is I’m sure !
I honestly thought the twist was actually pretty clever. And while it may seem like your actions mount up to nothing at all, many of the decisions you make do accumulate to a certain point where it'll make an impact as to where that said twist is going to lead up to in the end. Still, I think Until Dawn is by far the best Supermassive game to date. Something about that game just makes it so unique, especially when it was around the times when these decision-making games were at its most popular.
I can't wait to play this when it comes out. I'm getting a mix of Saw & murder mystery due to the H.H Homes hotel. Might become my favorite of the series

Guys.. you NEED to make a SKINWALKER game.. It offers so many unique elements. Just think about it: - The imitating-voice ability (the shape-shifting abilities) of the skinwalker alone would be perfect for alot of creative moments and twists - the louder it sounds the further it is away. So imagine a scene where you can barely hear mumbling or screeching in the distance and then boom, perfect jumpscare + you could design the "real" appearance of the skinwalker that like a wendigo on steroids Or just go with the deer-inspired look A skinwalker game has the potential to be better than Until Dawn.
Just pre-ordered the Animatronic Collector’s Edition of this game for my Series X. I’m so stoked. I fell in love with these games when Until Dawn released many yrs ago. 🤩

Awesome! I just hope they keep up with these stories actually happening and not ending it with "and it was all a dream!!" Little Hope and Man of Medan were great but at the end I was so disappointed to see it was just all in everyone's head.
Clearly it won’t since House of Ashes did not have that aspect to it. This game is based on the murder hotel that existed in real life. So it’s literally guaranteed to not have a twist ending like that
@@jacobduffles-andrade8485 well, because house of ashes had only 2 breaks with the storyteller and the other ones having much more, it is possible that they wrote that out in the last second because people were mad for it being in medan and little hope. You actually find a document which says something about hallucination.
Between cutscenes you have gameplay but it's quite limited. you explore areas and look for items or clues and maybe you pick up stuff etc. So it's always just exploring or if you have to escape or fight, then it's quicktime events.

I liked how Little Hope and Man of Medan had realistic reasons for all the supernatural stuff. Then the last one flat out had real “vampires”.
