Am i the only one who deeply wanted to cry after watching this video? I just can't believe how they're still active and still making great music, most 70's bands who are still active are a piece of shit nowadays. Except for Sparks,of course!
Me too! !I feel a very DEEPLY KINSHIP with their MUSIC, LYRICS and PERSONALITY! ! ESPECIALLY with Russells UNBELIEVABLE UNIQUE SOULFUL VOICE! ! Additionally I LOVE his PLAYFUL, LIVINGLY, EMPATHIC, CHARISMATIC PERSONALITY! And I ADMIRE Ron for his WONDERFUL IRREPLACEABLE GIFT of MEANFUL LYRICS and MAGICAL MELODICAL COMPOSITIONS! THANKS Russell & Ron for ALL THAT AND MORE & and Thanks for the LOAN for 50 UNFORGETTABLE YEARS! YOU'RE should ALWAYS a SPECIAL PLACE in my HEART & SOUL! !
I really enjoyed this "Through The Ages" video. It brought back many many memories of living in Southern California where I was born in 1952 and raised in Hawthorne. Pacific Palisades was not that far away so I can appreciate where Ron & Russell come from. I much admire them for their talents and work ethic and to enjoy their extremely successful music careers. It was radio station KROQ - 106.7 where I discovered them and many other artists and bands. I live in Boise, Idaho now since 1993. I hope they put the Egyptian Theatre on their tour list. It would be great to see them in person. Being close to them in age we aren't getting any younger and maybe this will be one of their last world tours. God Bless you both Ron & Russell. Thank you for your music that I enjoy everyday.
Brilliant! And to think I found Sparks through "Rollercoaster" (and, YES, it's still my favorite film for a lot of reasons.) So, "Big Boy" and "Fill 'Er Up" were burned into my brain before I even knew the lads were a real band. Long live SPARKS!
First time I'm heard Sparks was a 1976. First impression was confusion and I still love them. They are brilliant! Very close to russian sense of humor.
It's a very nice graphic montage on my two favourite musicians .... I hope the Mael brothers themselves saw it because this little film seemingly very simple, because the basic drawing of the face is the same, is really well done. It also shows that Sparks' music has wonderfully survived time without taking a single wrinkle, since it has constantly evolved and it is still there .
And what a great musical journey it's been! I remember the first time I saw them was on American Bandstand doing "BC" and promoting their new album "Propaganda" …fan ever since!
Missed "Beat the Clock",the hit bring up Sparks on the top of the world,i think.....so their are ABSOLUTELY HIGHLANDER!!!Im a follower from 35 years ago......🔝🔝🔝👏👏👏👏👏👍❤

Hello there everyone! This is a long shot... but it might just work! Would anyone out there happen to have a spare ticket they could sell me for the gig in Edinburgh this coming September? If so, could you please message me and we could perhaps get something sorted out! Well, that's about all really... cheers!

I was a fanatic for a lot of bands in the 1970S but Sparks was one of my obsessions as a young boy and 4 decades later still love them!
Sparks - best music-marathon runners in the history of marathons and music. It's a timeless work of art.

A great look at the innovative brothers. Quality 😮
I freaking love Ron's hair during the No. 1 Song in Heaven era. He should have kept it like that for a while longer in my opinion
Same. That's my favorite Ron period, too. But like a fine wine, these gents just keep looking so, so, so cool.
