my good sir, I too own a baja and am currently building it into an overlander rig. I want to ask you about the paint. I'm facing a dilemma regarding my paint job. I still have the original paint but its old and peeling in some places, its also really scratched up from riding trails. Naturally I want to repaint my baja (some kind of dark green like you have) but I don't want to get a brand new paint job and scratch it up immediately. I thought about raptor lining the whole thing but I hear a lot of negatives about doing that. what kind of paint did you use? and how do you plan to keep scratches off your paint when you off road. thanks for you time and I love your baja
That is epic man, love to hear of other overland baja owners. I don't have much experience with Raptor liner on the body but I do know that in order to get the best adhesion, the car should be prepped like a normal paint job. If not, you would probably start to see it getting massive chips and possibly even start flaking off. I used that stuff underneath the baja and on the unprepped areas it did that almost immediately. As far as keeping scratches off... right now I am discussing with a detailer about getting ceramic coat done immediately. I've rode with people on tight trails who had a good ceramic coat done and it totally saved the paint. The only problem is that this matte paint cannot be buffed...
It’s been a slow progression over the past year and a half and I do almost all the work myself so the cost is kept down… but yeah I have a ton of time in this project so far
Lookin good
Thank you 👊🏽
Turning out great !! 👍
Thanks you 👊🏼 full reveal is coming out next weekend
The Baja is coming along great! Good work!
Thank you, hoping to have it on the road soon!

I drive a bone stock 03’ Baja. Man that thing looks sick, can’t wait for a video when it’s finished and able to go off-reading.

Have you done any cutting to fit the new tires? Just threw mine on and they rub a bit when the wheels turned
Dude how do you have the money and time to do all this? Did you win the lottery!?
