Sound of White Noise is, in my opinion, the best Anthrax album. Of course it's not thrashy like the Belladona era, but it has the most memorable songs!
milkmanv1 "Today's Army rocks!" Beavis: "Hey Butthead, is Anthrax in the Army?" Butthead: "I think that Scott dude is." Beavis: "Yeah, he has a regulation cut, like Major Dad!"
+Steven Manning Beavis: Hey Butt-Head, this is like that thing they play like really late at night when the station's going off the air. Butt-Head: Yeah, only the music's a lot cooler.
I've been a fan for about 20 years as well, and while the Joey albums were a huge part of my metal formative years, it's this album that I seem to listen to most nowadays. Bush gave them a dirtier edge that they never had before, and I don't think they would have weathered the 90's as well with Joe.
@Chris Russell Yes! Got it right out of basic training when it released. Great fuel for a new recruit! I remember the cass having an issue with the gain (volume). It was set really low. No matter. I'd just turn it to 11 and break the knob of anyways. Got me thru some shit. \\m//
I hate to admit this, but this is my favorite Anthrax cd. I love Joey, but John just added the GGGRRRRR to it and gave it teeth. Kind of like the Van Halen debate between Sammy and David.
The sound the white noise is easily one of the best albums ever made, this particular song was perfect for love making, especially in the middle of the night
i used to play this album on a cassette walkman while i would play the pc game "tie fighter". a space flight simulator. most missions start flying in formation and by the middle of the song stratagy went to shit and it was all about carnage. this song is seared into my head with fucking lazer beams man !
"You've got a hole inside that you have to feed You've got a hole you'll use to get what you need And then you look to see if I care But I can't, and I never did What'd you expect me to give You never deserved my respect"
Hace años vi una version en vivo de esta cancion. MTV latino la transmitio varias veces, pero nunca paso este video. Primera vez que lo veo. Gracias x compartir.
Thanks for loading this:) I got to get this one record again. Last time i saw it, twas burning on a dashboard in a friends car that swipped it from me:) Thats how we traded music.. steal from each other.
been an anthrax lover since 85, and adored every album, even one or 2 that looking back werent so great, but for me this album is when anthrax became serious, this album snarls and spits at you, its harsh, its real, its im afraid anthrax without belladonna, and its far b etter in almost every way
I bought this album as soon as it came out-I was a big Anthrax fan, but I got bored with it quickly. I was 13 then-now I LOVE it. It has some great songwriting. Hell, enen Danny sounds really mature and tastefull on the solos.
This album is so hard to find brand new that isn't expensive as crap. And of all places I found it cheapest on Barnes and Noble's website, haha. So I ordered it yesterday and it should be on it's way soon. :)
I remember buying this when it first came out and my friends (fellow headbangers) didn't care for it because of the new lead singer, but I really think The Sound of White Noise was and still is one of their better efforts.
Those John Bush-era music videos should have millions of views. Only Only reached it on the actual time. But maybe some of them also reached and were blocked or removed or so what.... ;(
just compare sound of white noise with vol. 8: the threat is real. (dan was with them during the writings (and some recordings) of stomp 442). you can hear how his writing is missing.. even though they got their act together with rob on we've come for you all. I'm actually looking forward to hearing the new album.. was it dated to this years may? am I right? well. long live anthrax!!
Well if I can contribute to the argument of new vs old then all I have to say is that the only Anthrax albums I own is "Attack of the Killer B's" and "Sound of White Noise" and personally I tend to be listening to SoWN a lot more. I know I'm not really a die hard fan but I love SoWN, brilliant album!
This music video by Anthrax brought to you by the United States Army, the United States Air Force, the United States Marine Corps, and Proctor and Gamble. Lol.
This album is the best of the big 4 of the nineties but I don't include it. Anthrax went out and got a ringer! Hetfield, Mustaine and whoever sang for Slayer cannot compete with Bush!
Meh, this song isn't thrash, it's rock. Among the Living was definitely their most thrashy. Don't get me wrong, this is up there as one of my favorite Anthrax songs, but thrash is what Anthrax is known for :D
That is because they picked up John Bush....Belladonna was too worried about singles and mellow shit....JB came from Armored Saint and wanted to kick even more ass....Anthrax frigged up by getting rid of him...
I love this album. My favorite album of the 1993. Tracks like Hy pro glo, Black Lodge and Only are great masterpieces of heavy metal music.
Room For One More is another one from that album.
@@kgcane5195 yeah , it's another great one.
Sound of White Noise is, in my opinion, the best Anthrax album.
Of course it's not thrashy like the Belladona era, but it has the most memorable songs!
John Bush-era Anthrax is underrated.
Damn a rating esp a "underrated" in the youtube comments. Yall don't even know what a cliché is do ya
I completely agree. He was my intro when I first discovered Anthrax 🤘😎🖖🇨🇦
Can't beat belladona
Beavis: AY AY AY AY AY!
Butthead: Shut up Beavis!
Beavis: Heh heh....AYAYAYAYAYAYAY!
Butthead: Uh huh huh...the Army kicks ass!
milkmanv1 "Today's Army rocks!" Beavis: "Hey Butthead, is Anthrax in the Army?"
Butthead: "I think that Scott dude is."
Beavis: "Yeah, he has a regulation cut, like Major Dad!"
+Steven Manning Beavis: Hey Butt-Head, this is like that thing they play like really late at night when the station's going off the air.

Anthrax really stepped up to the plate with this album!!! Best Anthrax album ever!!!
I've been a fan for about 20 years as well, and while the Joey albums were a huge part of my metal formative years, it's this album that I seem to listen to most nowadays. Bush gave them a dirtier edge that they never had before, and I don't think they would have weathered the 90's as well with Joe.
I agree, John Bush re-energised the band.
Hope we get a bush era anthrax tour soon in 2023
in front of 100 people?
Doubt it.
May 31, 2022 and I am back to listening to this classic! That whole album is amazing! Miss John Bush with Anthrax.
The best Anthrax album!
Absolutely
I remember getting this cassette when it came out...
20 years ago.. Dang I feel old.
You are old...so am i.....sound of white noise is essential and the epitome
NAC shit man....same here lol
Me too, dude. ;)
I had this in the Joint.
@Chris Russell Yes! Got it right out of basic training when it released. Great fuel for a new recruit! I remember the cass having an issue with the gain (volume). It was set really low. No matter. I'd just turn it to 11 and break the knob of anyways. Got me thru some shit. \\m//
amazing solo!! dan spitz is one of the most underrated lead guitarrists ever!
I can't believe he's a watchmaker now
Charlie made this solo
I hate to admit this, but this is my favorite Anthrax cd. I love Joey, but John just added the GGGRRRRR to it and gave it teeth. Kind of like the Van Halen debate between Sammy and David.
+WingZero75 This album is awesome, that cd has been loud in the car for the past two weeks, so just admit it :)
dude your spot on
+WingZero75 I am new to Anthrax but the lead singer on this song is not Belladonna????
Ozzy vs Dio in sabbath is a good one too
I've always used the comparison of Anthrax finding Bush is like when Maiden found Dickinson
The sound the white noise is easily one of the best albums ever made, this particular song was perfect for love making, especially in the middle of the night
Try type o negative bloody kisses 😉
@@nathanwarshawsky3871 RIP Peter Steele

this song is seared into my head with fucking lazer beams man !
love this cd..John Bush was awsome in Armoured Saint too
Still is awesome in Armored Saint.
Just saw that episode. You know you're making quality music when Beavis and Butthead give it their approval!
"You've got a hole inside that you have to feed
You've got a hole you'll use to get what you need
And then you look to see if I care
But I can't, and I never did
What'd you expect me to give
You never deserved my respect"
This song is pure brilliance
One of best songs of this band !
Hace años vi una version en vivo de esta cancion. MTV latino la transmitio varias veces, pero nunca paso este video. Primera vez que lo veo. Gracias x compartir.
En headbangers cuando lo conducía Alfredo lewin es chileno igual que yo
I just saw this play on VH1 Classic's metal Mania...
I didn't even know they played the Bush-era songs!
One of the best metal bands of all times... So much time since 1993... Anthrax rules!!!
The 'Star-Spangled Banner' should be replaced with Hy Pro Glo - and become the National Anthrax - that'd be awesome
Cat Fan "National Anthrax" - nice. :-)
François Wirion
Awesome, don't thank me,it was Beavis that came up with it.
+Heroic Fox I was gonna say,"You obviously made that comment after u saw this video on B&B".
You buttmunch lol. :)
Classic Beavis
I used to jam to this back in the day, Sound of White noise was by far my favorite of Anthrax's albums. Also Among the Living.
It's funny that the title is a reference to Purina's Hi Pro Dog Food commercial. Just a bit of some amusing trivia.
I've had a new appreciation for John Bush lately.
Saw em live with John Bush in Orlando. Best show ever!!!!!!!
One of my all time favorite albums. In my top 3 fave Anthrax albums.
wow! I just found out that there is a music video for this song.
Aye aye aye aye aye aye aye, I miss the old Anthrax.
Best album by these cats. I also loved fistfull of metal
Thanks for loading this:) I got to get this one record again. Last time i saw it, twas burning on a dashboard in a friends car that swipped it from me:)

funny that awhile back I discovered this song late night channel surfing and flipping on vh1 classic. Liked it ever since.
cheers for posting this mate.
This is the best Anthrax album.
This was on Beavis and Butthead :D
This album is so hard to find brand new that isn't expensive as crap. And of all places I found it cheapest on Barnes and Noble's website, haha. So I ordered it yesterday and it should be on it's way soon. :)
great music from an era gone by... thx for the memories
John Bush will always be the best.
Beavis and butthead, ""are Anthrax in the army" haha.
Dan spitz solos are amazing!
Awsome song from an awsome band.
It's 2023, and at 57 I still get that High Pro Glow and let Anthrax assault the neighbor's senses
FTW !
I’m going to get hate but this is my favorite anthrax album
white noise and stomp 442 were both severely underrated
Did they get this from the old school Purina dog food commercial - High pro glow
I remember buying this when it first came out and my friends (fellow headbangers) didn't care for it because of the new lead singer, but I really think The Sound of White Noise was and still is one of their better efforts.
Great fkn track. Great albums!” During this era!!!
Thats the sound!! john Bush is the front man!
Those John Bush-era music videos should have millions of views. Only Only reached it on the actual time. But maybe some of them also reached and were blocked or removed or so what.... ;(
Their golden age. Bush is friggin' awesome. ;)
This is one of Anthrax's best choons of all time!!!! 😀
Great solo. Great feeling!
John Bush has the best vocals in rock and metal!
Para mi es el mejor vocalista que ha tenido ántrax y el mejor álbum el sound of White noise yo vi a ántrax aquí en chile el 98 con jhon bush
john bush thats who i want to see touring with anthrax thats when they did their best music
I like John Bush. However.. Spreading the Disease, Among the Living and Worship Music. No competition...those are the best Anthrax albums.
noway soound of white noise was there best every song on that album was great
Hay Stack You're so right.
+Hay Stack fast forwards 2 years 2016.. You're still sooo right... The best album!
Still not forgiven them for shitting all over John. Fuck ca$hthrax. This was their finest hour and they're too fucking greedy to notice.
Супер. Смотрел еще на видеокассете
Holy shit. I don't remember Anthrax being this badass.
Ese disco es una joya! Mucho mejor que todos los discos anteriores de Anthrax 👀👍🏻
"I-eee, I-eee, I-eee, I-eee!!"--Beavis
Aye Aye Aye
Best Anthrax tune :)
Dave ( Solid Snake), Jack (Raiden), and Hal (Otacon): we can understand this.
No, as Beavis said " The National Anthrax!" lol Anthrax kicked fucking ass in the John Bush era, they need to beg him back into the group! \m/
just compare sound of white noise with vol. 8: the threat is real. All this and money too. Brilliant.
This music video by Anthrax brought to you by the United States Army, the United States Air Force, the United States Marine Corps, and Proctor and Gamble. Lol.
Thank you brother!!!
this is just one perfected song.
This would make a hella good recruiting commercial
@IAMFeAR7 I'm partial to Spreading the Disease myself, though it's a close competition between that one, this one, and Persistence of Time.
"All this and money too"
that's one Bush that SHOULD get back into "office". this song got me into 'thrax.
This album is the best of the big 4 of the nineties but I don't include it. Anthrax went out and got a ringer! Hetfield, Mustaine and whoever sang for Slayer cannot compete with Bush!
Sounds of white noise with Jon Bush is jus as good as AMONG THE LIVING

This is my fave anthrax album
This is one of my top two songs by them all time the other one is i am the Law. Great band my top five in metal all time.
Gosto dessa música do Antrax MUITÍSSIMO SHOW DE BOLA
Really nice track all in all.
I am new to Anthrax and this song is awesome.
One question: Why the hell is this song called Hy Pro Glow/Why not call it,"I can't look like you"????
Because that wouldn't be a catchy name
Iván Gómez
Hy Pro Glow is a catchy name?
+kenterminatedbygoogle better than "I can't look at you". That one sounds like a Taylor Swift song.
+Iván Gómez like*
+kenterminatedbygoogle Cuz Hy Pro Glo is why I can't look at you!!!!!!
Such a great album.
YOU LOVE TO LOOK AT YOU!
THE album with bush, nothing better than among the living and Persistence of time!
VIVA ANTHRAX!
Day hello to my cousin Cass, I give you everything. Dasvadandja
Cass chabaz. You haunt me :)
Awesome. Hail Anthrax.
They where sounding completely different from themselves on this album , kinda like Pantera Meets Fudge Tunnel or so ...
Meh, this song isn't thrash, it's rock. Among the Living was definitely their most thrashy. Don't get me wrong, this is up there as one of my favorite Anthrax songs, but thrash is what Anthrax is known for :D
WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY HOW MANY WAYS CAN YOU LIE?!!?!?!?
This was a great line-up. Charlie and Scott are doing a great job screwing up a great band:-P
AN AMAZING RECORD!!!
Kick ass Jam!
Best band ever
HELL YEAH!!!
AMEN!! Finally someone else sees that!
That is because they picked up John Bush....Belladonna was too worried about singles and mellow shit....JB came from Armored Saint and wanted to kick even more ass....Anthrax frigged up by getting rid of him...
fucking great song
Hehe, me too! That's how I first heard of them
They rock!! \m/
THANK YOU!!!
first time i saw vid on mtv i was welded to the spot it burned a hole in side my mind!
This song rocks!
