How I Built My Raised Garden Beds

If you're new to gardening, you're probably wondering - how do I build raised garden beds? In this video I transform my garden by showing you how to build raised garden beds. In the past I have grown gardens in the ground, in Root Pouch fabric pots, and this year I am changing it up again by building raised beds in the Garden of Gains.
Raised beds are a great way to garden for various benefits. The thing I love the most is that I am able to grow in the ground, but still add a soil mix and amend the soil as I please with compost, coconut coir, and this year I am also testing out mushroom compost. Other benefits include protecting the garden from pests like rabbits (and hopefully our dogs Twiggy & Basil too) and making the garden more easily accessible by RAISING it up a foot above the ground. One of the best benefits is the simplicity, beauty, and pleasing aesthetics that raised beds bring to the garden.
There are many ways to build a raised garden bed. You can buy raised bed kits, prefabricated raised beds, metal corners to create your own raised beds, or you can use a corner post as I did in this video. All ways can work, it just depends on the aesthetics you desire and how much work you want to put into it.
