政府应该赋权给这个媒体理事会的，那些新闻媒体除了报导新闻之外，应该要有某些“特别权利的”，这样才能显得这个社会更具透明和正义，不再会有DNAA事件或是释放不代表无罪的新闻事件发生。
若从媒体理事会所发布的新闻的话，是可以免除随便容易遭到警方以煽动法令、触及3R法令、不当使用通讯233条文、影响社会安宁法来传召调查的呀？警方若是要调查的话，必需经过十名以上的国会议员投报，才能开档调查，传召媒体理事会的主席来问话的呀？
所以一旦政府要成立媒体理事会，政府就得赋予这个媒体理事会【很多权利】，不然这个媒体理事会就没有成立的必要和意义了。政府应该要给予这个理事会的成员薪水和享有每年一笔拨款，这才能够让这个媒体理事会发挥影响力和监督这个国家社会的作用。
现今新闻媒体所面对的困境就是，不能【主动的采访】那些部长和国会议员或是其他的大人物，就只能被动式看那些国州议员和大人物在社交媒体所发出的文告而编写新闻而已。
