It's misleading to say it has 2x the amount 1 cup of coffee bc that's 8 fl oz of coffee. 16.9 fl oz of coffee is actually 202 mg of caffeine so coffee is actually more caffeinated per oz. Also most household mugs are way bigger than 8oz. So prime isn't going anywhere unless they can prove they are exclusively going after children, which is unlikely. I had to confiscate some girls eating the powder drink mix like it was candy-they’re all clearly addicted to it! I imagine it would be very easy for a parent to give in to their kid begging for it and accidentally pick up the can instead of the bottle. Energy drinks like Prime are no joke even for adults; I don’t want to think about the harm it could cause a child if they drank enough of it.

As a parent of a 14 year old I've been talking to him about energy drinks for years. I've actually told him (recently) that if he ever feels like he needs a caffeine boost I'd far prefer him to have a coffee. Currently he very rarely chugs a sugar free ice tea.
I'm in Western Canada and honestly I've never seen someone younger than middle school age with an energy drink. I think regulations are more strict and there is just a slightly different attitude about nutrition here. I don't understand parents packing what amounts to pop with extra caffeine in a kid's lunch. It just hits me as oblivious parenting.

She's posting things that he's said that she doesn't like, but not posting things that she's said to him. If she wants to make their personal conversations public, then make them _all_ public, so that everyone can make a determination based on _all_ of the facts. My issue with the whole Jonah Hill situation is that he clearly knew who she was prior to getting into a relationship with her, so asking her to change certain things about her way of life is ridiculous. You shouldn’t go into a relationship with the mission of changing someone. That kind of behaviour/mentality truly is controlling.
But that being said, I don’t think it’s inherently wrong to ask certain things of your partner provided that they are reasonable. Asking a surfer not to post photos in swimwear is stupid, but asking your partner not to have “boundaryless, inappropriate friendships with men” is perfectly reasonable. That kind of behaviour would actually effect the day-to-day of a relationship, but modelling/posting photos to social media/having crazy friends wouldn’t.

    • @Dog3D
      @Dog3D Год назад +11

I agree his boundaries are stupid and seem to come out of insecurity but your life does change after you enter a relationship. There's a lot of unspoken boundaries that happen and occur once either partner runs into the situation they really dislike or makes them lose trust. If I am a guy, I probably can't openly like IG models or be as physicals with female friends.
You can say that his boundaries were unreasonable, but he gave her the choice to follow them or split, and she agreed to it. It was her responsibility to leave in that situation not to agree and continue the relationship.
If I was a yoga instructor and my GF said please don't adjust your students as much when they are posing, it's unreasonable from my POV because I was this person before you met me, but it's understandable if you zoom out and you have the choice to work with your partners insecurities or leave. I wouldn't publicly put her on blast a year after and say she was a controlling asshole, especially if she's in a loving relationship with another person and just had a child.

It seems very vindictive and immature to come a year after the relationship has ended when there doesn't seem to be any abuse indicated by the information she released.
Seems like a lot of "yes men" type people agreeing with her for a year for and it's turned into "misogynistic narcissist" but the texts don't seem to indicate that. He could very well be both but the texts only indicate he might be a insecure person asserting his boundaries.

With the Jonah Hill situation-I would be somewhat more understanding of his actions if all of the other weird, abusive, and shaming texts hadn’t also happened. Additionally, I think it is suspicious that he went after a girl who clearly didn’t hold the same values (as far as posting surf pics in a bathing suit, modeling, etc) and then tried to change her when they were already in a committed relationship.
Like, if he had actually just laid out **from the beginning** “hey, these are my personal values-if that works for you that’s good, if not let’s not date” that’d be one thing. But he didn’t. And beyond that, he made a lot of cruel, shaming, and controlling comments and demands, and he made these demands knowing what she does for a job. A lot of the things he was asking just aren’t fair or healthy. Like, allegedly telling her that she is not allowed to speak to any man while surfing (no matter the man’s age, how casual the convo is, or if they are platonic friends already) is insane, controlling behavior. Period. That’s just not an okay thing to ask of a partner. That’s just your insecurities becoming toxic.

I don't think people can label Jonah Hill an abuser just from these texts. That said, Jonah 100% knew what he was getting into. He loved his girlfriend's pictures and activities before they dated; but once they dated he didn't like that other people were now looking at his girlfriend the way he had been before they dated. And that's fine...that proves they weren't good together. But someone not being good for/with you doesn't immediately make them an abuser. Jonah clearly has trust issues, and they were apparently going to a counselor so maybe they were working through those issues, who knows. *Her behavior is a dealbreaker to him*
Her behavior of doing her job and posting pictures of her work to social media? That's fine, but then he shouldn't have hit her up in the first place because this is her whole life/career, and that's literally how he found her.
Funny how it magically didn't bother him before.
*he’s giving her a chance to say “I’ll change.”*
Wow how generous of him. Next time someone gets me emotionally invested in them and then tries to isolate me from my friends, work clients and completely change my career, I'll be grateful that they gave me the "chance" to change my awful ways that they were fully aware of before meeting me.
      *Relationships are about compromise.*
And your idea of a valid compromise is for her to agree to all his demands, and completely change her life, work and who her friends are.
      Got it.
That's not a compromise, that's a controlling insecure douchebag attempting to isolate you under the threat of breaking up if you don't comply.
*She clearly didn’t want to compromise those things and it ended.*
She didn't want to "compromise" on not hanging out with most of her female friends, cutting her work clientele by 80% and feeling bad about being in a swimsuit when it's literally her job to be in one and post pictures of her work to the company's social media?

You're putting words in their mouth. They never said "valid compromise" they said "compromise." If it's not a very good one or valid one, then so what? What a compromise in a relationship looks like depends on the people, sometimes it's normal and sometimes it's not. Either way it was the compromise he wanted in order to be happy in the relationship. And how is that a threat? If anything, I'd assume with your whole "he's a piece of trash" thing, you'd say he's doing her a favour.
What Jonah is is an idiot. An insecure idiot too, I suppose. But for all we know there's reasons to that. I mean, you're making assumptions, so why can't we assume that Jonah actually has been cheated on multiple times, or was in a controlling relationship himself? Quite literally all we know is that he had some crazy boundries/non-negotiables in the relationship, with breaking up being the response if the couldn't be met (because all that meant was his unhappiness in the relationship) and she didn't like those, so they broke up. That's not controlling, nor is it abusive. The break up itself isn't even unreasonable, as it would have resulted in a miserable relationship. The only thing unreasonable is the boundries/non-negotiables.

There was literally nothing controlling about what he did. People act like someone cant have a change of heart. In Jonah's case, was he supposed to bottle it up, eventhough it was bothering him? No, he did what any man should do, he straight up told her what the issue was. I agree with the people that say that Jonah Hill is just using language to disguise the fact that he's trying to control/shame her. The "boundary" he's talking about has nothing to do with him or with anything actually affecting him. He's just saying "you being hot and free makes me feel insecure, so change or I'll leave you"
