I HAVE A WHOLE THEORY ABOUT THIS.
Taylor’s most popular songs are from her first 5 albums, you’ll see songs from those albums as her most popular when you look at charts. Her 6th album was Reputation which was SO different than what people were used to. “Bad blood” and “look what you made me do” were the only ones that really ranked.
Honestly, I didn’t like Reputation AT ALL and I fell off from listening to her (probably the same for other people too) . Then lover came and you got some good songs (SOME BOPS) but the singles didn’t have a lot of soul so people weren’t really interested in hearing the rest (same for me). Like “you need to calm down” became the representation of the album when it definitely WAS NOT.
then comes folklore and evermore. They were released during covid so that itself kinda dampened the release. And honestly the songs are fairly slow, sad sounding. So not a lot of interest there from a lot of people.
So after all that people only really remember the singles and her first 5 albums or so. Leaving a bunch of other songs that people didn’t even know were BOPS. including myself until a couple months ago.
