I mean, she cant really just leave him. She had her clan, son, her maids and other women in the harem whom she would be implicating. And she was dying at that time as well, had no princes or Yongqi left whom the Emperor could punish. Was estranged from Hailan. She knew she had no future anymore and had reached the breaking point finally. But even so, if the Emperor had wanted to force her to do something he could have. Look what he did to Xinjiang, threatening her people subtly. He felt guilty enough that he left her alone for a time, but who knows how things would have gone if she hadn't died.
