Our late Queen had a very dry and mischievous sense of humour. Her body guard told this story: During one of her trips to Balmoral, and because she loved the countryside and outdoors, one day she and her bodyguard were out on a walk in the appropriate gear. Two American tourists on a hiking holiday happened to pass them and not recognising the Queen in her civvies, stopped for a chat. One of the tourists said to the Queen “Where are you from?” The Queen replied “I’m from London, but I’ve been coming up here for over 80 years and have a holiday home here”. “Oh! said the tourist, then you must have met the Queen”. The Queen said “I haven’t, but Dickie here has met her many times” she said pointing to her bodyguard.
“Oh!” The tourist replied. “What’s she like?”
Knowing the Queen’s sense of humour well, the bodyguard replied “Well, she can be a bit cantankerous at times, but she has a wonderful sense of humour.”
The next thing the bodyguard knows is the American guy comes up to him, gives his camera to the Queen and says “Can you take a photo of us?” Then they swap places and the bodyguard takes a photo of the tourists with the Queen.
After the tourists left. The Queen said “I’d love to be a fly on the wall when he shows those photos to all his friends. I do hope someone tells him who I am”. 😂😂😂

The reigning monarch doesn't require a license because the license is issued in their name as stated in the video. Official travel they used chauffeur driven vehicles, but their properties are huge and they drive themselves around their properties and unofficial trips as well.

The current PM of Canada met the Queen when he was a little boy and his father was PM of Canada.
The late Queen was a mechanic and ambulance driver during WWII.
The Queen has fixed stranded motorists’ cars when they have broken down by Balmoral in Scotland.
The Queen has a wicked sense of humour
King Charles does drive himself and was recently seen driving to Church.
The Queen’s mother was referred to as the most dangerous woman in Britain during WWII because she carried a pistol in her purse and knew how to use it by Winston Churchill.
The Queen’s son Andrew served as a navy helicopter pilot during the Falklands war. The Queen was the first woman in the royal family to serve in the military.

They missed the best one, of her interaction with Paddington Bear. She lived was past 1996, the James Bond skit was 2012, and Prince Philip died during Covid and she out lived him. 2022 was the celebration of 70 yrs and she died later that year. We loved her because she was a people's queen, the way her mother and father were during the war. King Charles has had his moments. Appearing with the Goons, beloved comedy group. He recently, after becoming King, was seen to interact with some hikers in Scotland when he was on one of his long walks. He is not as outgoing in appearance, but I'm sure he would love to be asked. She started a new approach to monarchy. ❤❤❤👵🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🌹🌹🌹

I cannot belive that you would even consider that The 86 year old monarch would parachute out of an helicopter, and would be allowed to carry a firearm for anything other than hunting on private land. Most members of The Royal Family including King Charles drive themselves, unless on official engagements.

Dont forget, Steve, that Her Majesty was not expected to become Queen when she was a younger Princess, growing up. Her Uncle David (aka Edward VIII) was the son of George V, and was meant to become the King upon his father's death. However, he met, fell for and chose to abdicate his role as Monarch as he was not allowed to marry his already twice-married American "lady love" (Wallis Simpson). It was only due to his abdication (and he was _not_ actually crowned King), that our late Queen's father was crowned King George VI - his chosen name in honour of his late father, King George V - (although his birthname was Albert - known as "Bertie" to our late Queen's Mother - Lady Elizabeth Bowes Lyon (pronounced "Bo's lion") who became known as Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, folloowing Elizabeth II's coronation in 1953) ... Growing up, Elizabeth was 'merely a young lady within a royal family, not expecting either her father to become King, or herself to become Queen... Edward VIII's abducation definitely put paid to any hopes of a "normal family, albeit _Royal_ life".
Rest In Peace Your Majesty, your duty and absolute devotion to your early vow, is over now. Stand down. Rest Easy.

Our late Queen had a great sense of humour. You should have a look at the Queen with Paddington bear 🐻 for her Platinum Jubilee. King Charles like his mother loves to drive and still does on his privet time. The late Queen use to drive on her own land when she got older. But as with the King now when attending an event or just going from one place to another they have to have security with them so they have a professional driver and other security cars around them.

What people tend to forget is that our beautiful Queen drove an ambulance, trucks and other vehicles during WWII, and was a mechanic, doing the maintenance on those vehicles during that time. She was no wilting wallflower!! All the royals drive themselves whenever they can. For example Prince William often drives if he and the King are headed for the same venue. Obviously for formal state occasions they will be driven by chauffeurs. The comment that the Corgi's are not house trained is untrue. It was just a puppy that had not yet been house trained that had an oopsie or two, and the story became exaggerated beyond belief!

The first time Fagen broke into The Palace The Queen wasn’t in residence so he just had a look around, drunk a bottle of Prince Charles wine, broken a vase and pee’d in The Corgis water bowl, as he had got away with it once he decided to return for another go. He didn’t know where The Queens apartments were it was just by chance he happened to break into the right ( or wrong) place. He wasn’t dangerous and did t want to harm her, he did just want her to listen to him and she did. She did have a button to press but people were sleeping and it went unheard. Heads will have rolled and people will have been fired make no mistake about that.

They missed out on the best story of when the Queen took the Saudi Crown Prince for a drive around her Balmoral estate.
In Saudi at the time, it was illegal for women to drive as he explained to her. The Queen was the one to suggest to Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Abdullah that they take a spin around the Balmoral grounds in her Land Rover. He was amused at the idea and accepted the offer.
Once they were all seated, the Queen decided to floor it down the winding narrow roads and weaving through the bends at high speed like she was competing in the World Rally Championship. He was left begging her to slow down.
