This movie set me on the path to become an archaeologist. I now spend almost 10 hrs a day playing assassin's creed
Molto bene brother 👌🏿
This may be the most hilarious comment on youtube!
I spend 10 hrs playing age of empires
😂
You've got us in the first half
when you're careful not to alter history but instead found that you're part of it
I always feel like that would be the case in any attempt at time travel. I think that you'd never realise that you always existed in the past until it's too late. It's very easy for you to not know about the actions of one person even 70 years ago.
You're a part of history as we speak.
It's what start time loop's
I like that type of Time travel
It's the Oedipus Dilemma
Doing everything you can to avoid a fate you have been foretold, only to realise the by doing so, you actually cause every detail of it
Only I guess this is the opposite and they WANT everything to happen as predetermined, only to realise their "interference" is the predetermined cause of what they knew
So are we not gonna talk about how this man forgot to throw the grenade? 😂
Yeah... you have no business using a grenade if you don't know how to throw it.
@@nighthawk72j80 His controller disconnected.
Reminds me of the scene at the beginning of The Thing where Lars goes to throw a thermite grenade at the Dog imitation but he forgot to have a good grip on it, so it just slips out of his hands and gets lost in the snow.

@@TheFunniBaconMan But at least he threw it, or was about to attempt to. This dude for real pulled the pin and teleported back to the present lmao.

Sooo.. they accidentally sent a professor back in time...so they send a bunch of randoms back in time after explaining to them 4 10mins what happened?🤔
U can time travel.. 😯they could have literally planned for decades on what to do 🤨
Yeah, but at the time they thought what happens in the past actively changes the future. So they did not want the professor to change time to much
Sssttt shut up! you're make sense.
@@JarJarBinks_ I get that ... but everything he does he already did... do their time has been changed already the second he went back🤔.. I'd go as far to even say he cant change history.. cause he always goes back in time and becomes apart of history
@@MrJreed1000 yes but they thought they would change the timeline they knew. They did not know they were originally apart of the time period that they visited. So they thought everything they did changed the future. They thought that they timeline they knew would change
@@JarJarBinks_ that's y u take ur time( no pun intended) and plan things out... and not just start throwing people in time all willy nilly
I feel like if you went back to 1300, you would have a hard time communicating, even if you are talking to the English. The language has changed a lot since then. I'd also lie and just tell everyone I was either from the HRE or a citizen of Byzantium or something. Someone who has 0 stake in the war and can be ignored. Telling an Englishman from the 1300s that you are Scottish is about the dumbest thing you could do.
For archaeologists, they should've known and prepped better
not to mention that the English lord killing the French guy for his accent is hilarious due to the English noble probably speaking French as his first language. But yes old French and English are very different from their modern equivalent in the first place.
Americans speak old English, but our written English would be totally unrecognizable.
I think in the book they had translators in their ears.
@@hugehappygrin American English is nowhere near as old as 100 year war English, it basically sounds like another language altogether, furthermore most of the nobles on the English/Norman side spoke French.
Paul Walker and Gerard Butler are archaeologists? Those would definitely be the most handsome archaeologists in history. Most the ones I've met are pretty nerdy looking 😂
Ok?
they aint no Indiana Jones!
ok
As would Daniel CC calling characters names
Handsome
@@silent0089 😂😂😂 They would definitely be called "handsome and smelly guy" or "handsome and mustache"
It’s based on a book of the same name. The book is actually really good, and makes a lot more sense; couldn’t have the people speaking old dialects in the movie without subtitles- not gonna happen in a sci do movie.
It is a Michael Crichton story.
The book wasn't dumbed down like the movie.
That book ending though was nice 👍
I forgot that the movie ending was different.
This movie did not do the book justice at all.
I read the book .Shit was confusing as shit .Didn’t know there was a movie until today
The book was written by Michael Crichton, the same author of Jurassic Park and the Andromeda Strain. The book goes into so much detail in how the time travelers had to be prepared for, like being fluent in medieval French and English and getting vaccinated for dead diseases.
Oh give it a break!
Ohhh that’s interesting.
I remember I read the book after watching the movie - and the book was sooo good
What's the name of the book?

Paul Walker in: Too Fast Too Medieval.
I remember seeing this as a six year old with my parents during a snowstorm and loved the hell out of it. It's weird the things you remember from being a kid.
So many big name actors all baby faced in this movie! So cute! haha
Technically in the book I thought it wasn’t time travel, I thought it was traveling to a parallel world that just happen to be in a different time period but shared the similar history of our world. The movie changed that concept though
I'm not so sure. Granted it's been about five years years I last read this novel, but if I remember correctly in the original book they do find a statue of Mark at the archeological site after they return to the present.
Parallel but close enough that it made no difference.
It was a bit annoyingly handwavey that way.
Despite that and Crichton's hateboner for scientists it was a pretty good book.
And why would a French order his also French friend to be brutally murdered because some dumb accent
Yeah, different quantum realities. Was technically "same time" but in a different reality, while some other universe ended up doing the same exact things in our reality. Was weird and almost made sense.
A parallel world wouldn't take into account the history that the characters knew of, as you see they all knew key details of history but not how they came about
Like Lady Claire should've died earlier in the movie but was saved and later sentenced to hang, to the characters knowing the war, Claire major part in the war was to be hanged, so they didn't know she was almost killed
Plus the earless engraving, the lenses etc, they all stayed part of the timeline, so the point is if it was a parallel world nothing would appear that they didn't already know about, a change in history would only affect the world the team went to, not the world they came from
Timeline and A Sound Of Thunder(2005) are the most awesome time travel movies from the 2000s!!
A Sound of Thunder had a fantastic premise of not only time travel and effecting history but also millions of years of Evolution.
It's a shame the budget was too low and script/acting could have been better.
What's that about?
I adored this movie when it came out, hard to believe it was 18 years ago!
I hear the book is better
I like when ppl don’t return to their original timeline because they found peace in these time traveling movies
french officers spares scots life for saving sister even though france and scotland would have been allies in a war against the english

"Listen, my father was sent back in time to medevil times..... We need leonidas, and damion darhk to retrieve him.
“By shear force of urgency”
Boi what urgency, you have a literal time machine
Eh kind of. It plops you in a specific place along the timeline. So each second passing in the present is also passing in the past.
Like two rivers flowing along side each other but in different spaces but have the same flow in current.
The time traveling team had no idea the scientists of the future had a crisis of the return machine being destroyed, so yeah it was a matter of urgency given that the timepiece was there way home and they needed a machine to return to
I just realised all the comedy and magnificent dialogues are lost.
When the woman archaeological find the painting in the past she was super excited to see what it originally looked like. I remember she said "omg its so beautiful, who would break this beautiful thing" then realises its the entrance to the tunnel "omg, im the one who breaks it!"
Another comedic dialogue is when the ear cut man realises hes the one that they excavate from the future. I t was hilarious to me because his team was worried abt their safety but he just overjoyed as he realises he has a future with lady claire who he had just fell in love with
The way you explain every movie is just awesome and it's so easy for us to understand those movies entire concept
An adventure film with a difference, so long as you ignore just how different medieval language was, never mind accents.
It actually explains that…
@@factbeaglesarebest not really. but just best not to think of it. truthfully people spoke vastly different than now. like english has changed a lot. and i'm pretty sure scottish has/had their own language entirely at 14 century. just now they speak with accent but basic english.
no sht sherlock.. it's as if using the actual way of speaking at the time the movie would suck balls
I love this story, both the novel and the film. Michael Chricton is always a fascinating story teller.
that guy came back to the future w/ Grenades?😡so Why tf didn't they bring guns with them or put kevlar under their armor when going to the past.. I mean the timeline was already polluted 🙄🙄
By the ending you can tell that the timeline didnt change, therefore bringing pistols would have not mattered
@@betelgeux6010 I'm pretty sure some of the parts where people died would've changed if u go back with a minigun.. or rocket launcher... or hell even a simple lighter.. they'd probably consider u a God who can creat fire from nothingness🤷🏾♂️

I feel like this is a deep learning algorithm watching these movies and giving an assessment of it. The syntax sounds weird, like it's computer generated and the rate of upload is insane. Add to that, each video is far too standardized, like it's free of human error.
