Imagine this: you have a crush on one of your close friends hes tall has curly hair funny kind and every time you hang out with him your heart misses a beat. You know your love for him is unrequited. Forever and always. You see him with starts in your eyes. You know you won’t be his so you slowly give up on love. A decade later your an adult not a dumb 8th grader anymore your feelings for him grew each day since the first time you met him.
That day was rainy you and your best friend were out in the rain in the park. You too were just enjoying the rain not having a care in the world. Then in the corner of your eye you see,him. You feel like your eyes are playing silly tricks with you but they weren’t. You saw him. And then the next second you saw him leap and run towards, her. Your heart breaks a little because you always knew your love was one sided but know you know it will forever stay unrequited. You see the smile on his face as he hugs your best friend. Your happy that he doesn’t remember you from 8th grade it hurts less knowing that.
You found out he proposed to her a few weeks later
The wedding day ;
It was a rainy day; the same type of rain when you saw him for the first time in years you see how he walks her down the aisle you see the smile he gives her you try to compress your feelings you try to forget him but seeing him smile at her makes your heart break a little. you shed a tear your thankful the rain was able to hide your tears you were thankful that no one would know what you were feeling you even felt guilty for crying but you couldn’t help it.
Few months after the wedding you were feeling a tightness in your chest and heart you didn’t think much of it untill you heard the doctor say “we’re sorry y/n you have
hanahaki disease”
Your hear sinks the world goes into slow motion. It wasn’t shocking but you knew who made you like this you knew you’ll die in a year and you knew you didn’t have time left but mostly you knew the person wouldn’t love you back. You didn’t show any emotion to the doctor after she told you the information all you could mutter was a soft “oh”
You suffered In silent little by little you slowly couldn’t breath then a year after your diagnosis……………
