It’s a very poor effort of kings not to add instructions on how to actually attach it to the awning I’ll be letting them know in no one certain terms! Thank you so much that you actually put this video on here so that I can see how to do it because I’m a lady of 68 years old And would never have worked it out unless I watched your video so thank you thank you thank you job well done you should ask Kings to give you royalties for all the people that watch this because of their incompetence
After having a think about it I like the idea but also I like having some thing that I can still use my X-Trail for trips. Looking at it I think if you turn it 180° so the zipper piece witch detached from tent was against your car you could unzipp it from tent roll up awning and leave tent in place and use your car?
Can you advise me on if the tent would fit on my roof rack that is 3cm short of the edge 0f the car? With the awning attached would this still allow room for the tent attachment, or should the roof rack be flush with the edge of the car?
Difficult to answer that one. Only thing I can say is that the tent comes off of the awning & doesn’t attach to the car at all. If your roof racks have enough width to support the awning then I’d say should be all good. Hope that helps
Great real world setup video mate. I liked it when a couple of your subscribers hid their faces too haha those sides look like they might catch a bit of wind have you had it up in bad weather ?
G’day Chris. No haven’t had it up in windy conditions yet. You’re right though there’s a bit of surface area there to catch the wind. Might have to think about positioning the vehicle as a wind break. Thanks for watching
@@crochetingaroundnewzealand I’m yet to test it out in some inclement weather but in terms of easy set & privacy it does the trick. Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching Steve. Access to the vehicle is going to depend on the positioning of the awning. I like the access to the canopy area. Thanks again
@@150_ADVenture G’day Daryl…. I have recently upgraded to a 270 degree awning about 6mths ago. Someone was selling at a to good a price. But would I buy a Kings one like this again……. Yes I would. If you look after your gear I believe it will last.
Thanks for the honest unrehearsed set-up...nice to see what it is actually like to set-up.
My pleasure!………happy camping!
Love the woman on the camera telling him to read the instructions haha
Thanks for watching Brock.
Thanks buddy now I I’ll know what to do when I pick mine up :) thanks camera woman!
Thanks for watching. Happy camping!
Just set up mine first time I messed around somewhat to next time will be easy.
Thanks for your video cheers Tony Brisbane
Glad it helped you. Thanks for watching. Happy camping!!
Love the wife whispering “read the instructions “. 😂😂
Thanks for watching!!
Great job. Definitely helpful video as I haven’t set mine up yet.👍😊
Glad it’s helped you out. Thanks for watching & happy camping!

Always a good idea to practice at home, but good seeing a real on camp struggle lol🎉
So agree! There’s always got to be a first time right! Doesn’t matter where that is. Thanks for watching
Excellent camera work as well
Thanks mate. Helped me make my mind up
Thanks for watching. Happy to help out.
What brand did you end up buying and why?
Need Benny Hill music

Thanks for watching David. Agree, if you are still needing to use the vehicle it’s probably not the right thing to use. Thanks again
Looks good 😊 I just brought one. Do I need the awaning? Can I use poles?
Yes you need the awning. The tent zips onto the awning to hold it up.
@@tonycheel4563 ok thank you 😊
It's perfect to see how annoying a "simple" awning tent is to setting up.
Yes practice makes perfect!!
Good stuff as always mate! Keep em coming!
i realize it is quite randomly asking but do anyone know of a good website to stream new movies online?
@Sage Cristian lately I have been using Flixzone. You can find it on google =)
@@silaszayne6343 that's illegal
Thanks guys this video was very helpful

@@tonycheel4563 that's a good thought about using the car as a wind break, cheers
Is it suitable to use as an actual tent? Sleep in etc?
Definitely. You’ll need the awning as well though cause it all connects & uses the awning frame to stand up. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching
@Tony Cheel so kings awning tent is high water and weather rated?
Any idea if this is compatiable with a XTM awning?
Sorry I don’t know the XTM awning make up but I’d assume if all the spec’s are the same I can’t see why not. Thanks for watching
I never got any bloody instructions with mine. Much swearing ensued!
I hope the video helped. Thanks for watching.
Gold Tony gold 😉
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for making my decision easier 🤣
Glad it’s helped you
@@tonycheel4563 I reckon your better off getting a 3x3 gazebo that way you can drive away without having to disassemble the awning everytime
@@gort3969 That is definitely a great option. Thanks for watching.
@@gort3969 spot on, ironman 4x4 have a 'quick release' awning.. yet to see it work.
No you tube videos prove it does. 😊😊😊
