When you tell Carlos the regulations he looks confused and scared lol. 😂 "if I don't know I just ask thuy" - the minion 😂😂 Yah baby!! I love sand dabs!!🎉😂 You never seen a BBC like that huh?? Big black cod 😂😂
You can have as many hook as you want for sandabs, soles. You can use sabiki rig or tie dropping loops and loop the hooks in the loop. I will talk about it in the next video.
You want Sole or Sand dab use cut bait and let the line lay flat on the bottom. The sand dabs will get on 5-6 at a time. The sole have the eyes on the right the sand dabs have the eyes on the left. Have fun.
The best way to compare both fish on google. most of the soles are in deeper water than halibuts. The white side of the halibut is white than soles. If you are not sure do keep it. Good luck.
Thanks for the information. I will confirm with game wardens again next time I see them. The regulations said that you can catch time at any depths, except in the groundfish exclusions. I agree with you about two hooks regulations and game warden confirmed that too.
@@Fishing247 Thuy right now I think we can only catch rock fish at the 120 ft level. It will change in October to outside that depth to 300 ft. I looked it up.
@@cerescop I am aware of the rockfish regulations and depth restrictions. The only confusion is the blackcod regulations. It is in the ground dish registration but it also indicates you can catch them in all depths. Thanks for your information.

Yeah baby. I love being on water with good friends. See you in October for deep water RF
Take me go sand dab fishing with you, Anthony
Give me your contact information via email. Thanks for watching.
nice fishing, i want to go for sole near bodega. how deep do you recommend?
I have never caught sole in Bodega so I don't know. It was 280 to 400 at the edge of the canyon in Moss.
@@Fishing247 thank you. I’ll give it a try

@@cerescop thanks for the information.♥️
I know that bait as kingfish. I looked them up and they are the same species. I would make a meal of the bait or the flat fish.
@@cerescop I call them King fish too.
when we were poor in 1970s we ate a lot of croakers it was .69 cent a pound when we didnt go fishing. We steamed it with soy sauce
Koreans and Vietnamese, especially older generations love to eat croakers. My mom prefers to eat croakers than halibuts.

How deep were you fishing to catch black cod?
300 ft, near the South side of the canyon. 6 miles from Moss harbor. Good luck.
300+ feet is open again?
For most everything except rockfish. Please read the regulations before going fishing.
Better safe than sorry but those black have no closed season or size limit. Allowed to keep 10.
Thanks for your information and thanks for your supports.
how to identify sole fish vs halibut?

2 hooks for blackcod and no more than 10 sable per person. T14 CCR 28.49
Thanks for the information. Sometimes you need to be a lawyer to read the fishing regulations.
Black Cod or Sable fish is a ground fish. So the rules are the same as rock fish. I think you were too deep and too many hooks.
Thanks for the information. I will confirm with game wardens again next time I see them. The regulations said that you can catch time at any depths, except in the groundfish exclusions. I agree with you about two hooks regulations and game warden confirmed that too.

@@Fishing247 I was only talking about the sable fish/black cod. The sole and sand dabs were fine. Good eating too.
