- A 2 player multiplayer playthrough of the True Arena in Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch. The true arena has 21 bosses. I am playing as Kirby.
Got kinda tired near the end but we clutched it out. May do a solo gameplay video later if I have the energy for it.
This is a 2023 HD remake of Kirby's Aventure Wii, released in 2011.

This is the most brutal true arena they have ever made. 21 bosses in a row in the super star ultra format. At least planet robobot had a set order so you could practice and get good at the bosses there
Yea it’s hard unless you use tornado. Tornado absolutely annihilates bosses in this game.
Actually some of them aren't random and are set. You will always fight Grand Doomer EX after all the other EX bosses/minibosses and then Landia EX as the last boss before it transitions to the Magolor Epilogue bosses. Likewise the Crowned Doomer will always be fought after all the Epilogue bosses before transitioning to the last six which are always in a set order. HR-D3, Lor EX, Magolor EX, Galacta Knight, Master Crown, and finally ofc true Magolor Soul.

My brother and I just did the True Arena, and the craziest part was realizing Magolor Soul was AFTER Master Crown. We knew they had to have added something to that fight, and we were excited, but dreading it at the same time.
I love that they added a second phase to the final Magolor Soul fight where the Master Crown completely deletes any trace of Magolor and fully takes over. That’s a very cool touch, in addition to the fact that they gave this phase Sand and Mecha-based attacks.
the moment magolor soul brought out TWO lasers right off the bat, I KNEW they had beefed him up for this remaster. nothing could have prepared me for how insanely challenging his final form is now. it was so magnificent, i wasn’t even upset when i lost to him. he’s just THAT good. well done HAL.

I beat him on the first try! It was very difficult but I still did it. I just abused tornado’s invincibility frames it’s that op.

Considering the combo of EX and Magalor's Epilogue bosses, this might be one of the hardest arenas in the series. I feel like the other one would be SA but that depends on if you use a lot of op dream friends.
Edit: Robobot is actually probably harder than SA.

Someone tell me for HR-D3 and Magolor Soul the music is real, because if they really put Roar of Dedede and Magolor's C-R-O-W-N-E-D from Star Allies, this is the best remake of a Kirby game next to Super Star Ultra.

Just beat this, this arena truly made this my favorite game of all time. Fighting magalor soul buffed for the first time was amazing, and id say they went above and beyond with this.
Yes, Kirby's Return to Dreamland was already one of my favorites, so it's crazy that it's even better now!

I used Spark in the true arena together with my little brother, he was with no Ability and Magolor Soul was harder, My little brother died and dang

I'm surprised that they kept Galacta Knight. With Morpho Knight having originally been intended for Kirby GCN, Deluxe's seeming nods to other canceled games (the characters and enemies all having outlines is just like those in a canceled GameCube game that would've been the first full 3D Kirby game), plus its first appearance technically being Return to Dream Land (no butterflies with *that exact color palette* were seen before it), AND its affiliation with *souls and reaping them,* I expected it to be the Magolor Epilogue final boss and replace Galacta in the True Arena.
Honestly GK's appearance is just so random. Like its a cool fight but i thought magolor epilogue would at least give some context as to why hes even there. Morpho replacing him or maybe coming directly after the GK fight wouldve been awesome and thematic with everything you pointed out
Especially considering the Epilogue Final Stage is called the “Ethereal Shrine” which Morpho Knight is the Ethereal Butterfly I for sure thought we were gonna get another reused fight with Morphoknight.

I think it’s because of what the epilogue’s ending implies that they kept him. Since Magolor ends up in the Dream Kingdom, it makes the Kirby Clash series, and by extension Aeon Hero canon to some capacity

When I got to True Magolor soul I could immediately tell something was wrong with the portrait and the
genuinely unnerving song. Once I went in I could still tell things were off since I could tell the music was different (yes I could tell), then I saw the floor being much more crazy, and finally my suspicions were announced true when he used a DOUBLE LASER right at the start. Needless to say this fight was insane.
I’m happy they changed how in return to dreamland you can shred bosses because in this game you actually need a lot of skill for some of these bosses
Magalor Soul from the og game wasn't that hard, but it was a fun final battle. It seems that HAL decided to show us the real power of the master crown this time around.

Realistically I can see this happening as a prologue to the Epilogue, where during Kirby's fight against second phase Magolor, he and his second phase True Soul form are fighting for control over his body and the final blow would be a push to get him to a rift caused by Kirby's battle

After seeing these bosses, I had no idea what I’m up against. The TRUE Arena in this game might be the toughest one Nintendo and HAL Labs have created yet. Might call this level of spiciness “Crowned Soul Melter DX”. (DX means Deluxe btw)

...That being said, I got through most of the True Arena first try thanks to Leaf and its broken block. My mistake was underestimating Magolor Soul, which took out my ability because of the black hole attack, and then subsequently killed me.
Sand is too op. Its guard is like stone, but with sands normal attacks it was easy. It helped me take out the first phase of magolor soul in under 30 seconds.
That’s the same reason I died on my first try with tornado, I was dominating the boss until he destroyed my ability with the black holes
I also fell for it again on my third try

The crowned remix is a reused version from star allies (and the name of the song here is O.V.E.R.L.O.R.D)
if you choose king dedede or meta knight as player 1 it plays their battle theme from kirby fighters 2 (although i forgot which one) and phase 2 is galacta knights theme from planet robobot

Tornado is ultimately the best case scenario the invincibility frames and getting out of dodge doing massive damage afterwards it’s versatile also holy moly this game is so much harder than the OG
This was absolute *HELL* to complete. It was worth it for that 100% though
New Bosses of Kirby Super Star Rebirth
Fire Dragon was the first boss of Dedede Quest which is the alternative version of the Ice Dragon
The second boss is Toxic Hopper alternative version of Pyribbit
Third one is Jewely Rattler the alternative version of Coily Rattler
Fourth is Sea Fox and Coralcoon the alternative version of Pon and Con
Final Boss is Daroach who is having showdown with Dedede. Once he was defeated he called his squad and summon the Gem Golem with red, blue, and green gems.

I remember when I was a Teenager I went to my friends house & we Beat the a true Arena, He played as King Dedede & I played as Kirby using the Fighter Ability & damn we had so much fun beating it. I’m glad this game got a remake on the Nintendo Switch. We are gonna try the same characters only except I will use the Mech Ability.

The whole appeal of the fight is all remedied in the song before you enter the portal called internal struggle which is meant to represent magalor struggling internally from the complete darkness he’s in.

This made Galaxy 2's The Perfect Run look like a CAKEWALK in comparison. And I played Galaxy 2 on an EMULATOR, because Nintendo did NOT put it in 3D ALl Stars.

@@mystr0696 Not exactly, Void is Zero but when exposed to negative energy. Since we haven't seen another red eyed creature other than Zero Two, it's been a fan theory that Zero was somewhat resurrected or embodied the master crown

I remember back when everyone talks about how difficult Magalor soul was 10 years ago but we all kinda got good at the fight... then deluxe came out and said "alright I'm gonna be hard again"

I was going to comment that I kinda miss the old Crowned.
And then midway through my comment, MS starts doing some additional tech even before he goes into his danger state, and I immediately shut the hell up.
I was questioning why I'd get this when I beat the origional like 3 times and even tried out that one romhack of it. But nothing excites me more than a rad-ass challenge upgrade.

To Be Honest, The Bosses That Magalor Went Against Is basically A Harder version of The Ex Bosses.
This is sick and all, but I hate how this is the only thing standing between me and 100%, and I'm never ever ever gonna do this without checkpoints.
You can use souvenir items in it
You can bring in max tomatoes and energy drinks to just get health in the middle of a boss

I felt bad. on my second attempt I beat the true arena within 35mins. I used sand. I cheated. I just did the perfect shield every second and when I knew I was 100% safe, I did up B with the sand tornado

Hammer is overrated, use water instead it’s super good and lets you attack from afar when you can’t get up close.
I just want to know... is it possible to play the True Arena after completing the story and extra mode, but not the Magolor's Epilogue
I think you unlock it only after beating the three modes and the arena.
Sand ability is stone but on steroids.
Forgot to say but it helped me get past magolor souls first phase in only 30 seconds.

The first time i got to magalor soul, i was using sand but lost the ability but I remembered that i had copy abilities from magoland and i dont know how but i got mecha right then and there

I was able to beat it using tornado for most of it, but then I lost it to MS’s black holes, so I had to use an amiibo and finished with ice
Also, I didn’t use any healing items until Crowned Doomer
Something similar happened. I used tornado and lost it at the black hole. But by seer luck, when I inhaled several enemies, I got leaf and beat Magolor Soul.

You have to play through the entire game again in extra mode and clear the Magolor epilogue.
