What I really love about this guy is that, he shows the snapshot of his pedal's dials as to where he specifically placed it, others will tell that "it is based on what you hear" but because of what he did, I can make my pedal exactly how he dialled it and be my reference to explore
Great job with the video! Noticed your Nash. I just bought a T-63 a few months ago and can’t stop playing it. I have been blessed to have several great guitars but the Nash has that “thing” the “mojo”. Keep up the great work!!!
Tremendo video!!! Bendiciones
Very nice video! I like your candid presentation and I happen to agree with your taste/selections of this pedal, which I have found not to be the "norm" in MG reviews. I particularly agree on crunch with pickup and red selection, it has to be that setup :-). I do not care for the JHS/DB. I like the Tumnus version in the Wampler Gearbox. It is a good pairing. Thanks for the demo.
Nice video as always;) I have a JHS morning glory that I leave on pretty much all the time on the red setting with volume at or close to unity drive set quite low and tone most the way up. Gives a great edge of break up sound.
Great video J! You’ve inspired me to go back to basics and really pay attention to how my drives interact with each other. I’ve been using the HX Stomp for over a year now, but find I’m always stricken with choice paralysis. I need to lock things down more and find a home base. Excited for the delay video, going to go back and watch the Glitz video now, not sure how I missed that one.
I came back and reviewed your video. The morning glory sounds so good. But recently I haven’t been using it so I sold it out for a vertex boost. My second stage is the Wampler tumnus deluxe. My third stage is the pettyjohn. I think I wasn’t getting the sound that I was looking for out of the morning glory. Even though it’s a killer pedal and I had it for years. I guess my ears have changed. But still nonetheless morning glory… Great pedal.
@@JCruzProject yes, im trying to use it with my Fender Deluxe. Like I said it’s kind of diferent. Hope to learn more from your channel. Keep the good work 😊👍
I like to use the double MG side pushing into my walrus audio ages. It super clean and nice. And I have it set up to where it pushes into the moonshine. It’s nice for a boost. I don’t push a lot gain I like to push the vol to give it that edge of break up.
Whats the output like on those tele pups? Im using some Fender Pure Vintage 64's in my most recent build (a mahogany telecaster) and they are certainly on the vintage end of the spectrum. But the A5's help fill out the low end even with lower DC resistance. The reason i ask is cause it sounds like your pups are a little hotter then the PV 64's and its driving the pedal a bit more. My morning glory i also built and ive been running it a little higher at the gain and volume and a little lower at the tone then you were at the beginning of the video. But i CERTAINLY got something out of watching this. I tried dialing in my MG a bit closer to your settings and while i wasnt driving my amp as hard i was getting a much more nuanced drive that is great for just giving some character to what i would still call a clean tone. I have plenty of higher gain overdrives so maybe that will be the perfect niche for the MG. If you havent already i HIGHLY recommend checking out a Lovepedal Amp11. Yes yes everyone says its just a timmy clone and it is certainly of a similar topology (i traced the PCB myself) but it really works excellent for all your lower gain needs. I can get the blues breaker/morning glory tones as well as tube screamer and hot tube screamer tones and my favorite thing about it is that it does a great clean boost also. The boost side and the OD side. Anyways great video sorry for the long comment lol!
Absolutely KILLER pedals. Either one is amazing. A bit different in tone and therefore will result in different saturation, but either one will sound great! The Kilt seems to be the more popular pedal of the 2 at the moment.

@@JCruzProject oh man, I got excited for a moment because now I'm implementing midi in my board and just today started thinking on that double barrel limitation. I would need to sell it or learn how to deal with it XD
@@JCruzProject yeah, probably going to buy them separately in the future. However I see you already got rid of them (morning glory and TS) and got the broken arrow. Any advice or tip? 😉
@@rafaelrada9861 I still very much those pedals. I just found the Broken Arrow to be so versatile and fitting for my current set up. Midi with that pedal made things so much easier for me. It’s currently the only drive on my board!
Right on the money. People spend all this money for nuances on pedals to get a specific sound. But then they go out and tell you how transparent it is... I am thinking... Huh?? Even amps change clean characteristics as you up the volume. The only true transparency comes from bypassing a tonestack (sowmtimes by a variable amount) such as a Dr Z style "boost.". Don't be ashamed if your drive changes the tone... It's friken supposed to, dammit!!!
I've got the newer double barrel, and I feel like I found my soul mate. It fits my style and needs perfectly.
Bro you have the best tone I’ve heard.

That’s great tone right there. Great video I have the double barrel v4 it’s kind of different. I wish it could sound like yours.

I struggling to decide between the ages & MG - which would you pick if you had to choose 1?
the double barrel doesn't have individual ins and outs
This is great! Thanks for doing these.

is it possible to connect double barrel to separately each circuit to a loop switcher? I'm not aware of how to do it :(

do you think this drive can overlap with a heavy compression?
Hey Rolando. Not entirely sure what you mean by “overlap”. Are you referring to the drive being pushed too hard with compression?
what amp are u using??
