This is a great idea. This makes the belt sander more versatile, and in the small shop, it will replace a dedicated large belt sander. This would be all the small shop ever needs.

Thanks for the comments, the other thing I wanted when I thought about how to make it is, within a minute you can have your belt sander back for normal use if you need it. Just by removing one bolt and a few screws, thanks regards Arthur.

That's a really nice design will help lots of folks have those sanders have been around since Noah was in the boy scouts.
