I'm so excited that I found your channel I have been homeless off and on for the past few years I'd really like to learn what to eat from the land for that reason Being homeless you can't always get food or jobs Most people frawn on homeless They think ALL are drug addicts or drugs etc. I'm NOT I've made HUGE mistakes in my life that lead to being on the streets. Once your down rock bottom it's tremendously hard to climb back up. So I count on God's promises to get me through these dark days. Amen 🙏 I love your channel because your very informative on foraging Thank you for sharing GOD bless you Tina Thompson
Wonderful wonderful video. I especially like that you repeat important pieces of information: "if you're not sure, don't take it", "the stem is kind of square", etc. Good stuff. Good stuff
You just solved a life long mystery of what the white flowered weeds are called !!! They are every where and no one knows there names no matter who I asked !!!!! Omg thank you . Also so cool to know my garden isn't full of weeds it's full of bidens alba for tea lol
great video i love finding out what growing out in my yard. great job cleaning up the trash,i try to clean out as much as i can when im out treasure hunting
What trail is that ? I'd like to hike there! I think you should make a video series of foraging and sharing your knowledge on the plants here in South florida. I'd watch it
Bird Rookery swamp outside of Naples Florida. We have moved to Washington State and I'm exploring this area now however if you look on the channel under foraging you should find additional foraging videos in Florida
I love Biden alba. I grow it for my pollinators. The bees and the butterflies 🦋 . The Dainty Sulfur butterflies use them as host plants. My neighbors hate me for growing "weeds." I don't care.
The Lepidium Virginicum seeds (pepper grass) will have little 'flying saucer discs' with a tiny notch as a very good I.D There is a cousin to this with more elongated seeds leaves and branching pattern.
He should have used a flowering example because the flowers make it super easy to spot from a distance. The flowers are small white flowers with squared off petals not round. And like I say had he shown an example with flowers it would make it a lot easier to identify the plant. I like this guy but feel like he could be a lot more informative on his subjects

Lawns are very unnatural and very wasteful resource wise. All the water being pumped out of our aquifer just to have it runoff loaded with toxic chemicals back into our lakes and river and eventually back to our aquifer. Appreciate your channel, keep spreading the knowledge.
Love everything you’re doing one thing tho I would never let my dog in any body of water in Florida no chance, every wild body of water has a chance of a gator
I enjoy your videos. Today was my first time going out to forage. I found a lot of smilax. Thank you for these videos, it’s given me the confidence to do it.
Glad you enjoyed it, my knowledge is still limited especially here in Florida but I love going out, finding, and learning about edible plants and mushrooms.

We'd love to join ya on a forage adventure, Palm Beach County 🕊️ I'm always wandering looking for new plants to id, we really have a full on buffet!
That would be great, but you will have to travel to Washington state, we are exploring here now!
I’m with you
Do you ever make teas with what you forage? I'm interested in trying that
I do, I love adding the lemon bocaba to bidens for a nice green tea. Up north I harvest spruce tips, wintergreen, raspberry etc for tea as well.
If you live near an orange tree, try the very young leaves at the tip of the limbs the make a very good tea, good for colds also.
Im learning for the time ahead.

I do as well, I have several articles about it on the site thehgsociety.com/

How many acres are you able to search
Do you ever take plants home to propagate?
I see you get herbs and whatnot. But yeah, propagation. Lol
I haven't yet. Thought about the vines for the patio but I'm growing nasturtium for that.
