  • This documentary presents the major architectural achievements of Gaudi and his integration with early Gothic 'art nouveau' breakthroughs. Explains his theories of organic structure viewing the Casa Vicens, Palacio Guell, Casa Battlo, Temple of the Sagrada Familia and Part Guell.
Gaudí's work enjoys global popularity and continuing admiration and study by architects. His masterpiece, the still-incomplete Sagrada Família, is the most-visited monument in Spain.Between 1984 and 2005, seven of his works were declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Gaudí's Roman Catholic faith intensified during his life and religious images appear in many of his works. This earned him the nickname "God's Architect" and led to calls for his beatification.

i have lived here as British man for 25 years and this doc is nearly as old as AG himself. love the artististic academic vernacular used . ignore your history at the risk of not understanding the present.

until you realize that nothing attributed to him could actually have been constructed by his time (we couldn't probably build them today with our technology) and no surviving construction plans or blueprints that explain how the flawless 3D perfection could be achieved or worker details of who actually was able to craft it further supports that Gaudi most likely didn't have anything to do with theese buildings' construction and he's just a random person they attributed a stack of flawlessly perfect buildings in attempt to explain them away to hide their true origin and date of construction.

For the state of sagrada familia construction.... 1974 / 1975. The 4 towers of the passion facade were started in 1974 and they seem to be still fairly low on the documentary.
