@GammaBoy I think she’d rather be a “loved” slave than be “free” and bullied by literally everyone in her life.
That's unsure:
1) She would be a wife, it was not specified if she would be the only wife.
2) Her freedom is not guaranteed. Despite his wealth, she would likely not have such luxuries, or any luxury she would have would depend on to be approved by her husband first. So it's debatable if such a life would differ much from a slavery. Well kept slave in a golden cage, but not free. Would that be a better life? Perhaps. But she has no way of knowing what sort of man he is within just meeting that guy. Considering how he brought her to him, I would lean more toward less happy life than what she imagined.
