5:46 Maces of this era were forged piece by piece, not cast. The flanges of a mace (like all the ones seen in KCD) are forged individually and then slotted into grooves in the handle, then usually brazed and/or forge welded until all 1 piece. Some might've even been forged out of a single piece of iron using fullers and drifts, but less likely. I'm a blacksmith and have dabbled in copper, silver, gold, aluminum, bronze, and cast iron casting, myself, and have been to the MET museum in NYC to see some of the finest arms and armor ever made from this era, including maces. Early examples (before ~1200 or earlier) might've been cast using bronze or some obsolete iron alloys, but the heads on them would have been much smaller as casting a mace with large, relatively thin flanges (like we're used to seeing) back then would have been tough to do with bronze as is, let alone iron, as the metal would have likely cooled to solidify in the mould before flowing to the ends/tips of the flanges. But yeah, with my experience, i have no idea in hell how theyre goinh to implement this without it being a bit arcade-y or cheesy, and making maces in-game would be even more so. It's just such time consuming work, making even a basic sword at that time in a modest smith's shop would take more than a day's work at best, and that's like a Great Value brand-equivalent sword, at that.
yea, it was on kickstarter. but main dude from warhorse studios made games before most notable one is first Mafia game. so its not like they never made games before kcd
Thank you so much for the summary. The first game is such a hidden gem. Hopefully, Warhorse Studios will get the attention they deserve, and this will become their Witcher 3.
I have heard from a interview with Sir Tobi and the knights arcade in English. No saves are transferring over. I also have heard at the start of the game we are going to get attacked Sir Capon gets knocked out and then Henry takes on the knight and falls off a cliff and wakes up in prison or some place. Swimming is no that was just for washing like the bathhouse.
yea they mentioned that in some interview or something. kcd 2 will start fresh henry will get gravely injured again at start of the game which will be the in game reason why henry lost all of his skills and need to train again.
@@spatrk6634 I was thinking maybe it would drop down to 5 or depending on want you pick if it's like the Beta you can pick between three things and that would determine your skills.
You stated that the 'map' will effectively be 3x the size of KCD 1's map. I know they said 2x the size, and i thought myself and others assumed that was including both new maps' combined area -- are you telling us that their '2 times bigger' statement is about the map with Kuttenberg on its own, not the map including Bohemian Paradise and Trosky Castle?
Did you see the new interview with Bocan? Halberds/ Spears confirmed.

I have a feeling this game will be coming sooner than people think
I have a different feeling, it will be released on Q4 this year, or delayed to Q1 in 2025
Is kingdom come deliverance first game from warhorse studios? If yes that is amazing

We will follow their career with great interest 😁

@@SULLIEDASP yea he will probably still be able to read. But I doubt combat skills will be

Please drink more water to prevent the lip smacking.
Otherwise great video.
Have a good one
I do hope they stop putting mail coifs under bascinets, and give us proper aventails.
Although the info was very interesting. The lip smacking and the mic popping is quite annoying.

No, both together are 2 times the size. The dev said it almost feels like 3 times because of the city.
4:42 definitely woud do that. 😬😁
so much lip smacking
