FYI guys, Samsung Secure Folder is available in select Galaxy M devices, Galaxy F devices, Galaxy A devices and in all flagship models like the S series, Note series and Fold Series! Hope you guys enjoy the video and find it useful.
Secure folder is ok for protecting files and photos but not for locking apps, if we turn it on it uses more resources and its like the 2nd phone hence drains battery. Instead of that Samsung should have provided some provision like locked folder in files manager itself like OnePlus and also individual applock lock for locking apps which is a must and every other oem has it the best implementation is in MIUI. Sadly using a third party app for locking apps but it's not reliable and using another app for hiding and protecting files etc it's a very good app first it encrypts all the data then hides it.
@@arpanmajumdar u are not supposed to sync any regular apps with your secure folder apps. Every app in the SF is like a completely new app on a different phone

But when i am home i don't wana keep it locked. Oneplus has this simple feature. In going for uniqueness moto n samsung has complicated simplest thing
great video, very informative. have to say second space or private space on chinese phones are the ideal solution to duplicating apps and keeping them private. im so impressed by that feature that i woudnt upgrade to a phone without it. You get a completely separate phone with its own apps its own contact list its own camera system and the photos dont cross over to the other profile, and you do it all using 2 different finger prints. each fingerprint gives you a completely separate phone.
Ive been using Samsung Galaxy phones for a few years now and this is easily one of my favorite features on this device. I use secure folder mainly to hide all of my porn
2:00 Secure Folder 🔐 is to be used as a second space inside the phone. If you just want to lock an app you can do it from settings or from the S Secure App. The secure Folder is a private second space.
I use secure folder to hide my social media, photos, videos, apps. I actually hide my secure folder entirely by removing it from the notification panel, hiding from my home screen by going to home screen settings and hiding it. How I gain access to it, is I go into settings, scroll down to advanced labs and then from there I select side key, then press the settings gear and then select secure folder. So now when I double press my power key it takes me straight to secure folder without it being visible anywhere on my phone

Secure Folder is basically a second phone within your phone that works exactly the same way as your normal phone does. Yes, you can update and use accounts just like you would with your normal phone.

Amazing video sadly sf isn't available on my m21 but no complains it's alright there's a alternative samsung app called s secure which helps to lock apps tho it's not native but it's similiar (supports biometric too)
Secure folder is a really cool feature. However, it shows a preview of your content in the recent apps. How do you change that? A video on that would be a game changer 😮
You can actually install 3 copies of messenger, snapchat and other chatting apps in samsung. You can have an original, a clone as install 2nd messenger app and secure folder one. Guys if you are thinking to root. Please don't do. You will lose access to secure folder, work profile and different other samsung knox features. It is like one time open only so if you have to really think about rooting samsung phones.
Thank you. Even when I went to look for a way to make certain files and folders private a few years ago, I didn't find this feature. But I did find that you could rename a folder starting with a "." or period and this made it a hidden folder. Then you could hide or show hidden folders, rename without the dot and open the folder. Then rename with the dot up front and back to private/hidden. Some fairly recent update now forbids the user to start a file name with a dot. Secure folder will make it much easier to make and access a private folder. What would also be helpful is to be able to turn off preview on specific files or at least folders. Even in the secure folder it shows a cover image of one of the images (in gallery). I do see where you can change the cover image, but if all the images in the folder are sensitive, It looks like I would need to add a benign image for a cover. Problem is, that benign image would now become part of a slideshow.

Very detailed information. Thanks for the video. Already subscribed. One question: Oneplus 11 also has "hide app" function with secure PIN or fingerprint lock/unlock. Is this as secure as Samsung?
hey thank you for the useful video, I have a question, after installing and locking any app in secure folder, can I add that app in regular app drawer rather then on home screen only
UPDATE to the problem below: Ok figured out my problem but no solution.. The reason I am not getting the "Mover to Secure Folder" in the three dot drop down options is because on my Samsung A54 my photos are in Google Photos not Samsung's Gallery! So it seems all photos have to be on the Samsung Gallery app for Samsung Secure Folder to work... makes total sense... So the Locked Folder option Ive been seeing when selecting the photo in my attempt to move is the Google version of Samsungs Secure folder... got it... Well now this begs the question: Is there a way to mover photos or albums from Google Photos to Samsungs Gallery to use the Secure Folder feature? PROBLEM.. great video, exactly what I am looking to do to secure my photos and other date.. I have a brand new Samsung A54, I have set up my Samsung Secure Folder.. but when I go into my gallery to select the photos I want to move to the Secure Folder... I DO NOT have a three dot "More" drop down menu option?? When I select the photo I want to move I have the following options in bottom tool bar: Share, Add to, Delete, Move to Archive, Delete from device, Edit Date & time, Edit location, Move to Locked folder... I tried the Move to lock folder option but it did not take me to the created Secure Folder.. so I am not finding a way to send the selected photo or item to the Secure folder... Second question is I would ultimately like to send and entire album or albums to the Secure Folder (once I figure out how to do that).. can full albums be moved to the Secure Folder or can it be only move individual photos one at a time to then recreate the album in the Secure Folder app??
Ok, I accidentally moved pictures to secure folder. I went in and chose remove from secure folder but a pop up comes up and says "no case" so what does that mean? Because it's not putting my pictures back where they were before. I've been trying to do this for 2 hours! I'm so frustrated! I just want to move so my pics to SD card!
