- Binod Chaudhary, whose interests range from noodles (Wai Wai) to cement by way of hotels and banking, has trodden the trail and come out as Nepal's sole billionaire, according to Forbes. His Chaudhary Group now has eight noodle plants in India, 72 hotels in 12 countries and is now expanding into East Africa. CNBC Africa's George Ndirangu sat down with Mr, Chaudhary to discuss his ambitious journey.

Most people will watch this interview and not have a clue what he’s saying or what it means. Some don’t even know what “value” means. Professional language isn’t understood by everyone. People who don’t understand hard work, professionalism or systems, will not understand the interviews of investors or entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs and investors are incredibly responsible, astute and reliable. They’re never in it for the short haul and they add value to any relationship or project they undertake.
What he said about being there during the hard times, finding solutions, making things easier and being a part of the economy in the countries you invest in, was apt. Reliability and consistency, builds relationships. Entrepreneurs and investors add immense value, which is something only a certain segment of people can understand.
That is what China has done in Pakistan. It has helped Pakistan through thick and thin and provided medical aid during Covid. China isn’t only here to invest but it’s also here to be a reliable partner. More so any other country or ally.
