The music cue and the visuals at 0:48 for the UESC drones gave me goosebumps. Very chilling! You’d never expect all the bright colors to come across so menacing. I’m glad they’re going out of their way to frame the greater galactic government in a harsh light in this game. You probably could have easily mistaken them for Halo’s UNSC before now

the downside of that is that it's a good way to ensure that a potentially good game doesn't get the backing it should.
Big studio releases have a lot of pressure to meet certain pre-order targets to get proper on-going financial backing, so if pre-orders are below expectations you can expect that some feature work and resources could be scaled back before launch,
there's also the potential for lay-offs and new hires are paused which mean teams developing the game are more stretched and so certain quality markers are more difficult to hit.
That's the reality of it, but yeah I understand the main sentiment

When I heard there was going to be a Marathon reboot, I wasn't expecting multiplayer or this particular art style. However, the idea of it all has really grown on me since the reveal, and I'm excited. I really hope this game does well enough to stay active for at least a while. I'm not entirely convinced this will be a super popular game, given all the mixed opinions surrounding everything about it. I just hope to be one of the lucky people who enjoys their time with this game, no matter how long the servers or player count stays up.
