If you play on your forefoot I’d say these are excellent. Prolly the lightest shoe I’ve played in. Only downside to me is the lack on cushion in the back. Being 6’0 230 and at age 44 I need more impact protection. But if I was a younger lad I’d dig the court feel and lightness. Love the look and it’s a nice design from Jordan that really pushes the envelope of taking away a lot of weight while still offering a great performance option. I’d buy another pair because I love the style and Tatum is one of my fave players.
After purchase, once i played outdoor... It was a mistake, the form has already started ripping around the corners and main form... But the performance is super nice
After watching these that squeak test really means a lot to me now. I will equate it now to having more grip on the court and I know people will say it doesn’t mean that but to me it does

I know im late but i used to play in these and for me they were amazing. But the materials and the quality was pretty bad i hadn't, even worn them for an entire season because they had already ripped. Is there a shoe with a similar feel to the tatum 1s but with better quality and materials?
Used them for about 1 year with a wide foot and they did not hold up they tore on the sides and holes were starting to form ii would advise against it if you have a wide foot

I cannot understand why they cannot make a consistent outsole in lieu of half-half. Surely cannot add that much more weight if they have another smaller patch of rubber at the back.
I have a Zion 2 which is good but you gotta break them in really well. The forefoot zoom is amazing. Its also surprisingly light but has no squeak, yet.
I’ve watched a good bit of your videos and to be honest I’ve never seen your foot lean that hard when u do your stop test and these scare me to be honest. A lot of your other test seem like you really have great stopping power with other shoes (li-nings for example)

Zion 2 is going to be better if you're a bigger player, it's also heavily discounted right now.
