Hey Bob one question not know if you know the answer or not. I know he was just an animal (A chimpanzee). But what ever happen to the lovable chimpanzee named bear, to me he was just as much as the cast as anyone else.
Sammy, the chimp who played Bear on the 1970s sitcom *B.J. and the Bear*, died peacefully in his sleep in December 2010. The show's actor, Greg Evigan, has suggested that the chimp may not have had a happy retirement, saying that trainers have difficulty handling chimps as they grow older and become larger.
Sorry, but I thought it was stupid, even when I was a kid 🤷🏼♂️ (Didn't stop me from watching tho.) I liked the Misadventures oSL and was sorry to see it cancelled. Sorry at his death too😓. 🤓😎✌🏼
That was a fun show. Greg even sang the theme song. I recall him playing an ex-convict on 7th Heaven. The episode had him playing the organ. Who else thought Mills Watson was dead? Claude Akins played a kidnapper on In the Heat of the Night. Both Rawhide and Sheriff Lobo had theme songs sung by Frankie Laine. Nell Carter was also on the revamped Lobo. She has since passed on. I couldn't locate any streaming channel that has these series. Awhile back they got cut in half for syndication. Now that was a bad idea. Claude Akins' movie credits include Battle for the Planet of the Apes.
Thanks, Bob. Happy Memorial Day. Stay safe.
Thank you Bob. Interesting video. I recollect the show. It was humorous. Thank you Veterans and all who are serving now. Melanie
