there's a lot of lore here that most people don't known about so i greatly appreciate this video! 4U is home to my favorite characters in the entire franchise.
She has to be little miss forge All you said + the obvious references to MH4u with the Lancer, or what seems to be the beginning of the game on the sand boat, it's just too much hopefully we'll see troverians and Juluis and Nadia in Wilds, would be so cool
lol I get it, but Minyale literally said that her outfit was only inspired by a famous blacksmith and she doesnt look at all like lil miss forge. Gemma on the other hand ticks all the boxes. I mean what kinda seals it for me is that she has the caravaneers jacket, its the same color with the same symbol on its back!
is this the first monster hunter game that is story driven? the trailer looked so good, i didnt even know it was MH until somebody said "hunter" i never played one, and always thought the game didnt really have a story/voice acting+cutscenes, it was just a gameplay loop, similar to PalWorld... hunting and crafting. my friend said MH world would be similar to MH wilds, but watching gameplay of MHWorld did not leave the same impression as the MH Wilds trailer... am i being bamboozled? am i being led astray by the Blonde Smithy?
Welll where to start... Soo every Monster Hunter game has a story. Id say the story of MH4 (whose cutscenes you saw in the video) and that of MHWorld are among the best ones. Also the comparison to a survival game like Palworld kinda hurts because monst survival games dont have much of a story or lore. Id say MH is different in that regard (besides it not being a survival game). Like- not only do you have a vibrant world with cute palicos and very detailed animations for cooking, the games try to also make the interactions between monsters interactive. Imo its one of the most immersive series. The core gameplay of MH will always stay the same, so if youre unsure whether you want to get MHWilds or not i suggest you try MHWorld, as this is the game that is most similar to MHWilds. Also- I dont think gameplay manages to convey how fun it is to play these games lol. Oh and watch the MHWilds livestreams of the official MH Acc, they look similar to MHWorld, the trailers mostly just show cutscenes. Hope this helps!
So far we've had three Mainline monster hunter games with a big story driven focus. MonHun 4, MonHun World, and the upcoming MonHun Wild. That isn't to say that a story doesn't exist for the other titles like MonHun 1, MonHun 2, MonHun 3, and MonHun Rise. MH1 was your classic hero's tale and gave us the basics of a fresh faced hunter earning their keep. MH2 expands on that with seasonal mechanics and being a more gameplay focused game. MH3 has a story centered on a fishing village but it isn't a story focused game- yet. It's there, and serves a unique purpose. Being the only game to feature underwater combat. MH4 was when MonHun really tried fleshing out it's story with a world spanning trip hunting a mysterious monster causing a wide spread pandemic. MHGenerations had some story beats but this was a largely anniversary game celebrating every Monster Hunter before it and had a huge gameplay focus with unique Hunter Styles for more specialized gameplay if you wanted it. MHWorld continues the story focused trend by having a more basic one. You're part of an elite group of hunters that a hunter's commission was waiting for. You're to explore the mystery of an Elder's Crossing. Where God Level Monsters cross the seas to a mysterious Island dubbed "The New World." MHRise has a story focus with npcs playing a major role. Unlike the others though this one is the least grounded with the player wielding the power of Insects to perform hunter arts. Has a very arcadey, more anime-tropes filled style compared to the others, and instead of story driven. It's more gameplay driven. Now a unique thing about monster hunter is that the monsters aren't just rpg big bads- except for one asshole in particular. But the monsters have their own ecosystem and ecology told through gameplay and extra material. They're animals with their own lives, and the hunter's guild would catalogues these creatures like one would do in irl science.
I was literally just thinking about poison swamps and how much it annoys me to waste an antidote on them... Guess I'll really have to do a video about it xD
please capcom let this be canon lmaoo
i meeeaaan- she has the caravaneers jacket with the caravans symbol soooo-
id say it is canon xD
great breakdown! now I'm pretty sure that she is little miss forge

I agree! I'll probably do a video on Ace Lancer as well!
I didn't even know the old MH Games had so much lore/cutscenes. Guess i have to play them at some point
You should! I recommend starting with Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate! (Or Generations if you have a switch)
The mainline games have more narrative then the portable/side games.
She does look a lot like little miss forge, but I'm not falling for this again after everyone started calling sunbreak's smithy little miss forge >.>

Didn't even notice that. Good eyes 👍
Gemma? I know her, she's my new waifu, though we haven't met yet, but it will still have the same result.
The guy from the cutscene is the Ace Lancer from 4 too I think?
Yes!
