Most construction sites won't let you take the time to do all that fancy measurement. They will just want the pipe welded to the tubing. Still great show of skill.

This method is to bend each pipe by 90 degrees, so it is determined to fold the stem, 45 degrees each, and the circumferential length of one-third of the circular pipe is indicated on the circular pipe. Put it on both sides and draw a circumference. The remaining 1/3 circumferential length is divided into half and half around the vertex. If the sum of the circumference shown on each pipe does not match, extend the length of the straight line from the vertex to both sides to match. When you fold it at 90 degrees, you have to decide how to meet it. I have an old elementary school guy friend who does similar work like this. It sort of reminds me of him. Lost contact years ago after we both moved to different locations, him to another state. I hope he’s doing well.
Problem is it don't have enough meat on the back side so the welds will break or the mefal will just separate if the load pressure is to much, build a trailer or anything of the sort doing this will most likely will not work
This has absolutely no relevance to my life and I'm sure I will never ever need this information. However, this was immensely satisfying to watch. Loved it
That was very skillfully done and with simple tools. That is the kind of stuff I do for a living but primarily with aluminum and I would just do that using the band saw with a wood blade in it. That is definitely top-notch though! Pun intended. LOL
Nice! Turned out WAY better then I anticipated haha. I thought "with THAT width of a marker you are never going to create a fitting end result - was I wrong..." I still would have used a proper steel marking needle as I like to do or at least some measuring calipers and use it's pointy tip to scratch a thin line into the metal...

If that's a joke, then you're one of the lamest. 😂
@@Umoddafokka No it was quite literal, did you see the video?
Yup, life advice right there actually.

It was going great until the end, when he just tacked the two sides together
@@brandonn6099 What are you talking about? He used a square multiple times.

I wish you could tell us how you came up with the measurements. Was that piece of cardboard half of the tube. Fascinating
@MegaSkilla I see. Well that really make sense. Brilliant man 👏👏

The cardboard cut outs were 2/3 of the tube
Hard to believe you got that accuracy marking it out with a fat tipped paint pen
I was wondering the same.....
He used technical drawing

It just a joint without any degree
When it came together perfectly. Mmm, so good!

The fitment is perfect that’s an engineers dream

True mastery is making a very difficult skill look easy. Well done brother. You should be proud.
The moment that I saw this video come up I said "that's rectangular tube steel, not a pipe"

Lmao “fancy measurement”
Math teachers, when someone asks them the practical use of maths
broke: “math is useful for budgeting and planning”
woke: “math is useful for figuring out what height to pour coffee from so it cools to the perfect temperature as it reaches the mug”
bespoke: “the only math worth doing is math with no practical application.”
One of the more satisfying things I've seen on RUclips
I see almost 0 ways this technique is more useful than traditional metal working

@Parrie Jenkins it takes a lot of practice though.
Beautiful work! I love these welding setup tutorials!!
That was beautifully done!
I like how the cutting sound matched the rhythm and the tone of the music

the cardboard disk used for measurement needs to be the same diameter as the pipe, right?
