I think the biggest difference is them trying not to let it get too real in their intimate scenes. They have amazing chemistry ever since the beginning even before they met in person. That has never changed but their romantic feelings for each other is and has always been real. They've even admitted that they tried dating irl so imagine trying to make a love scene for a show with someone you really love and have probably already done those things with irl but not make it look like a porn scene cause it gets too real. I think they hold back a lot and over think things because they want it to look real but don't want it to be real, if that makes any sense. I actually liked the pool scene and the purple room scenes from SML but you can see how the directors had them re-shoot scenes and dial it back after seeing the behind the scenes clips. I also really liked their love scene in Petrichor because it really showed them and their emotions. It was timid, hesitant love at moments and raw lust in others but for me it was the way they looked at one another. It felt real, like that was their first time together or first time together after a long time apart kinda vibes.
The petrichor is really good. The love scenes is ok, but it wasn’t enough. I prefer love scenes from the secret of us, blank, loyal pin and affair series. The other 4 gl couples has chemistry their acting was really good. As for p’Fa and Charlotte, because of what happened in the past. When it comes to working together, they feel awkward and have no chemistry. That’s the reason why over the past years I see they don’t get any awards for their couple work.
