  • The trail beside the Aletsch Glacier, Valais, Switzerland must be up there as one of the best. Look at the video - it doesn't lie.
This is only part 1 of the video documenting the journey we took from Brig to Fiesch, then the the Eggishorn cablecar and then a pedal up a fire road up a fair way and then a massive hike a bike, but well-well worth the effort. A truly spectacular place to ride your bike - you will not be disappointed.

We used the route in the book "Singletrail Book 06: Goms - Brig - Visp - Zermatt". Check out the website www.ride.ch and their shop. These books are an amazing resource with downloadable GPX files.

Awesome video. I'm going to the Valais next week. What route did you take from the cable car at Eggishorn?

@@besttrails I beg to differ. It is an expensive country. For example 2 coffees, 2 cakes, 2 juices was £34.

@@JMJC1 when you go in a tourist restaurants is more expensive that's right, but when you know local restaurants without tourist the price are not so expensive, for exemple you can sleep in a nice typical chalet for 32 frs swiss francs

That's wy taking à Guide is good, besttrails, options, local adresse, just riding and fun

This option tour is bullshit, first you can drive later from Brig and then taking à Gondola to the top (2700m) then is 80% downhill trails, take a Wallis Guide next time...
