- In a future where war's outcome is dictated by a supercomputer's cold calculations, Earth's fate hangs in the balance. Enter Thomas Cole, a man from the past with a talent for technology, who disrupts these predictions. As the government sees him as a threat to their meticulously planned strategies, Cole becomes a target in a world he barely understands. With every move, he challenges the very fabric of time and technology, making allies and enemies in a high-stakes game of survival. Nothing is certain, and one man's existence could change the course of history. Who will prevail in this clash of human ingenuity against the machine's omnipotence?

Love these classics.
Even the obscure ones, they just wrote better/different back then.
The language used seems so succinct and easy on the mind while still being very descriptive.
You should do the Edgar Rice Burroughs' Mars series and John Steakleys' Armor.
Would be rad lol anyway i appreciate the stories.
Ohhh here we go again ❤

Woohoo! Welcome to our sci-fi community!
Very good indeed
That was cool. Can see it happening today. No one learns skills. Mr Dick was way ahead of his time.
Nobody learns skills!!!! Don't be silly. People have much better skills today!!! You sound like an old fogey!!!! Btw...I'm old!!! I know!
😊..this narration is AI ????...Ahhh looked it up..get it now 😅😂. Excellent 😮
Good story
Thank you! 🙂

Many of Dick's early works are in the public domain. I will listen to this AI narration to see if I prefer it over the particular human narration of this novel I listened to earlier.
... two minutes in and I have to say, Theodore, that voices like yours should stay 'robotic'. Differentian should is a must for our 'poor, simple' minds to adjust, adapt.
Only two minutes in and I have t
Have some trouble with the narrator's speed. There's no pause between changes in scenes. Very hard to keep up unless you are uber focused on the speech. Otherwise, well done.
With this great AI reader you don't have to worry about some illegal alien or legal migrant taking your job how are we going to build a wall for this one
Is it AI, or HAL? Too slow...too fast... cannot listen!!!! I'm going to listen....but only until it is finished!!!!
Well read, but a nonsensical story. It just is too implausibly written to suspend my disbelief. A shame, because it features some interesting ideas.
A real pompous opinion honestly. Using the mindset of today on a story literally written 70 years ago. /sigh
@@tonycucca4499 Are you 70 years old? I'm not.
It’s science fiction
@@tonycucca4499there is always one like him!!!!!
