I am actively applying for jobs and many job description have selenium with python. So python is also catching up. Also for past two projects both in product based company i am using cypress. Both ui are in react so cypress is suited in react apps.
Having worked with both selenium + java and selenium + c#, I will say both are equally good. Also just an observation that many product based companies require selenium+c# whereas selenium+java is popular in service based companies.
Hi @Navin I am a salesforce manual tester and want to automate Salesforce for regression, do u have añy playlist dedicated Salesforce automation testing
Hi Naveen, how do you see this trend where some companies will say, since our backend is on Nodejs, hence we are using Cypress or Playwright with Typescript for test automation. Despite that statement, their testers don't get to write component or contract testing code because they don't have the access to main repository. As usual testers end up maintaining a separate codebase for UI and API automation. That's why I don't get the logic behind selecting a tool and language for test automation based on backend framework.
hi Naveen, google Chrome Popup for auto-fill Addresses is just annoying and inturrupting the test-flow. I have a workaround in mind, but what would be a proper way of dealing with those alerts/popups etc? Thanks!
I feel in next 2-3 years playwright will lead as it have some beautiful in built features.. It is specifically designed for modern websites, as per today I see out of 10 jobs 6-7 are javawith selenium... So I want go with JAVA
Nice content Naveen,. Recently I read a post on medium that scripting languages like python or ruby is more suitable for E2E automation than compiled languages like C# or Java and the author bashed javascript as unsuitable for automation. if you not consider job opportunities or current trend in market, will you choose python, ruby or java anyday?
Hi Sir, Thanks for the video… I was little confused to choose which language Java or c#… I have basic knowledge in Java and I worked with selenium + Java… Now in my company colleagues saying c# is better with selenium… Pls help me on this…
Hi Naveen, I am having selenium automation experience with java and c#. Intresting thing is I'm getting calls for c# selenium but not for java. I am slightly inclined towards java but ya.... that's what I observed in market.
Hi sir.. Im already into automation with selenium and java ,c#. I have reffered your website for many of the challenges i faced in my projects and they are really helpful.. Thanks much for your videos and knowledge sharing.. I have a question related to my career. Since im already into selenium java with couple of years (10 yrs ) developed frameworks from scratch and played architect role as well for few new projects, what could be the next which I can learn after selenium . Im not interested in process n management, is there any other tools or technologies i can learn and make myself skilled and scale up in my career.. Or is it like i should widen up my skills in api, appium automation or altogether jump to different career path.. please advice..
I'm giving interviews nowadays and looking to the market, playwrite and python is also growing but yes java has more opportunities. @naveen sir I'm seeing BDD is more in dimand nowadays like every call i get they ask for BDD can you explain why so sudden BDD become so famous?
Selenium+python is my preferred choice
Why?
You are a true gem sir for automation community. 🎉
thank you Naveen, this is very important video especially for those who is trying to choose what language to learn to start their IT career
I always think that, if you know Java very well, it is easy to switch to any other language.. Just matter of understanding other language api.
If you are coming from a java background then it will be easy to learn kotlin, Scala, c#.
Then what for them who alreadaya know Python Selenium and dont want to again go back to Java
I am actively applying for jobs and many job description have selenium with python. So python is also catching up. Also for past two projects both in product based company i am using cypress. Both ui are in react so cypress is suited in react apps.

Can you elaborate a bit more on why is that?
Python is also slowly grabbing more market🤓
But unfortunately it has less community support.

Also i feel survey and voting is different, a proper benchmarking will give a clear picture.

Hey Naveen, could you please guide on this
Will you suggest any course for automation with python and API testing manual and automation
In UK most companies ask Selenium with C#, and Cypress with Javascript!!In UK java is preferred by less number of companies
In my training all UK folks are asking for selenium with Java then python. So no one can predict it exactly.
Happy that now not selenium but other tools got good recognization like TOSCA
Tosca is paid unfortunately but selenium, playwright webdriver IO are open source/free. No licence at all, absolutely free.
